good to hear from you Mama, neer mind the car door, wait until it falls off, I'm fed up with having to payout for inaminate objects that cost money................
Share a laugh with you all. Went to course yesterday, guy asks the 5 of us to stand up and do stretches before we start. Bear in mind 5 complete strangers!!! I just sat there, he looks at me and says why are you not stretching? I said that I was there for IT not PE.
another lady sits down and says she agrees with me, then the rest sit down and we do boring IT. At lunchtime the tutor nutter says he was doing stretches to help us bond!!! I said, nice people, don't know them, will never see them again, don't want to bond with sweat and I don't like PE. He sidles off and never looked at me again, just bored us to death with advanced excel..... Am I turning into a grumpy old dopey????

:rotfl::rotfl::T:T:rotfl::rotfl:Go PDD.....sad to say I'd be the lady who sat down after you'd told him!

well tonight ive got all my letters to the creditors advising of dmp being set up ready for posting and have finally sat down and written down a list of everythin i owe and have organised myself. i even went through the letters that i have had hidden away from my husband that i have been putting off for weeks. its time to tackle this debt head on.

Is it likely that my creditors will accept my DMP offers? i am worried now that i have my hopes up and it will not go through and i will be back to square one again!

I'm sulking a bit tonight I'm afraid peeps, had to chuck all the lovely letters I wrote offering real money payments and print the old "here have a quid" ones again :( oh well, hopefully the car will soon be fixed (if not sold) and I can go DMP proper :). Have been having a fiddle with the number and I'm hoping (really, really hoping) that next month I'll be able to send a minimum of £5 to each instead of just £1. I think they must all be really fed up with me, even CrapOne have stopped calling!

Have a good sulk - you are entitled to be piddled off, you'll be right soon love and don't be worrying. I'll only say this quietly honestly...I get to forget too....the budget's non stop but the debt bits getting what its getting, its the best we can do and thats it....its not like a neon sign inside my head flashing away over everything anymore....you'll be there soon xxx

Just one last thing before I got and a drink (just tea - not friday yet, which also shows how much better things are - cos when the Incorperator ride began, it was a glass or two a night to get us through the evening and off to sleep) if the DMP gremlins haven't got to the kettle ....the sky box is on the blink(I know sky, basic package - can't get freeview!) keeps switching itself off and the printers done itself in too....and for their next trick....

Your creditors will look at your offer and make their own judgement. My understanding from talking to Barclays is that the majority accept. However the bottom line is as I have mentioned in one of my previous posts is They cannot have what you have not got and you have to remain fair to and impartial to all your creditors If they continue to reject your offer then if you go to the National Debtline Website there is a letter you can send to the creditor asking them to take you to court and sue you for the debt.

Creditors are very reluctant to do this as they know the judge will rule in your favour on in some instances ask the creditor to write the debt off. Most judges seem to look upon this as your making an offer what more does the creditor want.

    Dear Sir/Madam

    Acc/Ref No

Thank you for your letter of DD-MM-YYYY. We are very disappointed that we seem unable to reach a satisfactory compromise in this case. As we have already explained, we can only afford £_____ per month at the present time, and we feel that it is pointless paying this amount to you only to see the debt increase.

We invite you therefore to sue us for the debt, when we shall have the opportunity of offering £_____ per month through the courts.

In addition, once judgment is granted we understand that further interest will be suspended in any event. It seems that we can only achieve a reasonable outcome to this matter by allowing the courts to decide, although
this will involve us both in extra expense and time wasted with court proceedings.

The offer of £_____ per month plus suspension of interest is of course still open to you to accept.

    Yours faithfully

I know I had similar worries when I first set out on my DMP in April/May but after seeking advice from this forum I have gathered that a number of creditors accept the DMP although they may not write to you and confirm it.

    Hope this helps you.

    Regard and good luck.

Well done on drinking tea - I keep trying to only have lemonade but then *whoops* how did that vodka get in there!!

Can you ring the Sky peeps and get them to fix the box? Have you checked all the cables going in? Ours did that the other day and it was because I'd cleaned behind the telly (get me :D) and knocked one of the thousand cables out lol! As for the printer - turn it off and on again ;)
