    Hey everyone,
Feeling v blue today:( Car in front of me on dual carriageway hit a small but long branch, half of which broke off, I couldn't avoid it and it hit the underside of car. Didn't realise half my front number plate was missing until I went to put petrol in on way home from work. Just bit hacked off, I know its something minor but OH didn't seem to be to bothered and I just feel bit fed up with everything. Especially as OH still hasn't got new job yet:( Just wondering how much is going to cost to replace and whether am allowed to still drivecar with two letters of plate missing?
Do you ever feel like that, when something pretty minor occurs but it sets off a chain of things that were laying dormat in the back of you mind?

Spoken to Payplan this morning...have an appointment booked for next Tuesday and they don't want me to do anything with Barclays yet (card, small loan and o/d), until they see my wages go in new Natwest account. Aparently I can start ball rolling on the others though with letters and token payments.
    Sorry for rant

Hi Albie, don't apologise, if you can't rant here where can you?! Sorry about the car, really naff when it's not your fault, there you were just driving along... think the DMP gremlins are at play again, most of us found that as soon as we decided to sort out our finances, things began to break, cars needed fixing etc...feels like 1 step forward and 2 back when in fact it isn't...you're doing really well and sounds like Payplan are looking after you.

    Thanks Ted,
Yes, you are right. It may be that I just feel a bit out of control at the moment plus I can't just reach for the ccard when something needs fixing anymore. Am wondering now whether reaching for the card in the past was my way of feelin in control, like, if something needed sorting or I need to cheer myself up....:o

DFD gremlins lol :) Hope the critters stay away:)
    Thanks again Ted!

    Morning
No sun here but I did see a plane a while ago, its getting to be a novelty, if this keeps up we'll be pointing like we used to in the sixties, thinking its odd......

We only ever got 2 letters as well, vast majority just amended statements, they never phoned, they never wrote, felt quite unloved actually lol

Yep the DMP gremlins gave me a lovely huge bill for the car then the doggle got ill and cost a fortune, they definitley are around, it'll pass and it'll be fine, feeling very tired this morning, brain had overload yesterday.

RAR not a good start to the day!!!

I haven't got a clue and don't even want to have a clue, I always get a man in, so to speak to fix it, even if I have just run out of petrol, the AA come out cos you are a "lone woman". Feel the same about cars as IT, I just want to be able to do the bits I need too, not the slightest interested in how it works lol

Oh I miss the AA men, that was one of the first things to go at LBM :( may have to rethink that if I'm going to keep this particular POS car :rotfl:

Hi True, joking apart, it's going to cost you money just when you were about to start paying real money into your DMP. :( Have you anything in your emergency fund?

Just been thinking about that Teddy. Last time it fell off my very clever FIL created some contraption and welded it onto the car (or something, I stayed out of the way coz he was wielding an angle grinder at one point ) which didn't cost me anything. I doubt I'm going to be so lucky this time though :( seem to remember getting a quote for the exhaust at that point being somewhere around the £80 mark which will pretty much clean out our emergency fund. FIL can't look at it until the weekend so it's Shank's Pony for me until then anyway!

  • Morning all, haven't been on for a few days, very busy and all that.
Bit frustrating at mo as first DMP payment went to payplan on Tues and hasn't cleared yet, plus they are sending out the offer(s) to my creditors with the first payments, which will be next week I would have thought.
Don't know how the CCCS do it? Hope you all have luuuuurrrrrrvvvvveeeeely day. PP
