just looking again at morags faqs edits thanks loads for these:D
just a few questions to help me understand where I've been going wrong:o:
what was it folk didn't like about the photography of the vitamins, I thought it was quite a crisp clean bright shot?
why can't we say that the fresh fruit has been hanging around for longer making the tinned/dried etc a good choice? I was really glad to have found that out, so I thought it might help shirl?
Thanks, and sorry I need things spelling out!

So if we said, 'frozen peas for example have their nutrients preserved by freezing within 1 and a half hours of being picked. 'Fresh' peas have often been losing their nutrients for 2 or more weeks, having been picked, before you eat them.'?

I think it was mentioned before that many people, when seeing a photo of a pill, would immediately think that this means they will have to be having pills (that is to say, supplements). The subliminal message for a busy person, therefore, could be that the diet is inadequate in essential nutrients and make them bounce off before they read the text and find out that this isn't the case.0 -

I thought we'd weeded out the bouncers down to the really interested by then, cos they've clicked the 'here's the sciency bit' page...
But I do take your point and will have a think about another image to illustrate.
This may be a while though, unless people think the pill picture is a deal breaker?

Although it sounds a lot, that's how we're recommended to get that proportion of our energy isn't it?
It's just that when folk are dieting they often try to reduce the fat content?
I may be wrong tho!
That's exactly what I was saying last night (previous post) - you need to point out that the majority of the fat is from GOOD fats (I assume?) that everyone needs to sustain health.0 -
Hi Weezl sorry about the post the marmite spelling correction should be for the Shepherdless pie though why you couldnt just use your super powers and automatically know which recipe i meant i dont know:rotfl:Does this now mean you are not perfect?
Will update the others that have been done so far and as the rest get done if you can let me know and i will cross them off my list xx
Ps just checked the bechamel sauce method for Calzone and for me its not clear when to add the marmite but maybe someone else can check and confirm or deny this. Still feeling sleep deprived so take all my comments with a large pinch of salt0 -
Not a deal-breaker for me, certainly, but I think I am quite unusual in that I tend to go for text rather than the pictures !0

My understanding of the brief I gave myself at the start of the challenge was that this was pretty much subsistence living with one non-negotiable allowed. So I'm saying absolute subsistence (meeting FSA health criteria) costs 70p per person in the UK in May 2010. Subsistence plus a non-negotiable costs 80p per person daily.
So now we have a website, and I'm looking at it... and it doesn't 'say' subsistence to me!
It looks far more normal than that!
And we've taken great pains to say how normal it is, hoping to reel shirley in....
But it's for shirley, rather than folk on a normal budget.
Is this making any sense?
I don't want to produce a drab, ugly site (I care a lot about aesthetics) but this one is maybe giving a wrong message?
Look forward to any helpful thoughts
