As I am allowed to be off topic:D
I vaguely remember some fans of Les Mis on this thread-I normally love musicals like Hairspray/Joseph/The Lion King but I sooooo Love the song 'I dreamed a dream' and really want to see it live. Do any of you think it is worth it? One to recommended? XXXX
DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!
I have seen it several times and it is always really really good.
I would recommend finding out a little about the story first as you will enjoy it more if you get the context
Take masses of tissues, I cry like a baby!
Oh, and see Blood Brothers too!God is good, all the time

Hi
Can't quite get my head round where the croatian potato salad will sit... Think I either have to include it as part of the new improved batch cooking advice from Allegra, or edit all the recipes with a potato side dish to include it, so that's a long job!
But I will certainly do it, and especially if any kind soul will make me a complete list of all the month 1 recipes which need it.
However, we'll need to address where shirl will get her extra onion from...
As people will definitely have a 'but you said £100!' reaction.

1 Courgettes feedback was to go onto site
2 Info about omega 3 to go on to site
3 Onion tart you were to make clear whether the weight of onions was peeled or not. Also an explanation of how to cook onions if your flan dish cannot be used on hob was requested
4 To add Tias idea for leftover chicken onto Pinkhaleys leftover section
5 Intructions on how to poach a chicken were requested (maybe Arty could contribute
6 Recipe requested for Croation salad (think this may have been done but cant see it blaming sleep deprivation if its there)
7 Correct spelling of marmite in method (an extra n has appeared)
which recipe?
8 Confirm that the fat content of veggie burgers is correct (a reader questioned it)
Lesley can you please help with this query?
9Calzone onions need to be added to the sauce ingreds as its mentioned in method. Also no mention of when to add marmite to bechamel sauce
Think I fixed this, but can someone check?
10 There was a request to have an index on planner so that people could see what there was instead of perhaps missing an important section inadvertantley(sp?)
Ah! I thought that was on cooking advice! Which I did. Erm... can someone give me a clearer brief on what that is and where it sits?
11 For the chicken pie in method you say cut up breast perhaps just say chicken in case Shirl has used breast for something else and panics that other bits are no use
Done now
12 You asked me to try walnut butter but in planner you have said brazil nut is that correct?
Kitty's having both
Still awaiting volunteers for changing the phrasing for the FAQ page,
a breadcrumb biscuits tester,
vegan pea soup tester
someone to put the Asda shopping list into Mysupermarket and note the diff in prices please.
This is brilliant shanks thank you. I shall work through it today when I have chance

I tend to live by the maxim that it's not what you do that you tend to regret, it's what you dont do.
In life I have no intention of arriving at death a perfectly preserved corpse. I intend to slide sideways across the finish line smoking and leaking oil, and not for a good while yet.
Sorry, got a bit impassioned there, I'll be off now.
I could have written this myself (except I didn't own the home I left behind). Upsetting the cart to be with the man I love was probably the most reckless, impulsive thing I ever did in my life - and the best. If your relationship is the kind where having a long-distance relationship would be a bigger wrench than having to work pulling pints for a little while until you find something more suited to your training and expertise (and that's certainly the impression I get), then there should be no doubt in your mind as to what is the right thing to do.
Weezl, Croatian potato salad really needs just a little onion for it to work fine (10g per person, sliced finely, would be plenty) - I would think that both the onion tart and the chilli could spare a bit without suffering in the least.
Aless, thanks re FB, and that's absolutely fine
Rainbow, we boil the spuds, then slice - the flavour is different that way, and to my palate far superior. Also means that you can do the salad even if you only have floury potatoes - there is no harm in exprimenting and doing it the other way round, and if you can taste no difference, go for it0 -

Ok, happy to go with this.
If I do though, can I get everyone's agreement that we aren't going to state numbers of 5 a day portions per recipe on the recipes at any point?

It's just that I know we worked hard on compiling those numbers, so I wasn't sure if folk were ok with losing them?

Croation Salad originally came up as a possible alternative to the wedges we were having. Would it work (and may be less work?)listed as a recipe separately with the info that it is an alternative accompaniment and that if Shirley wanted it, she would need to redirect a little onion from the main recipe?0 -

So It doesn't appear on the meal planner table at all?
Just wondering how shirl will find it... 'recipes' page will have become a merge of all shirl's recipes with all kitty's by then (ie once kitty's plan is published)
So the main way that shirl is going to know what she can have will be via her meal planner page....?
Is this making any sense?:rotfl:
Or can you see another solution?

8 Confirm that the fat content of veggie burgers is correct (a reader questioned it)
Lesley can you please help with this query?
The Veg Burgers on the spreadsheet I have list 120ml veg oil. The recipe uses 90ml, but also has an indeterminate amount for frying, so 120ml sounds right.
The total fat in the recipe is 122g, 110g of which comes from the 120ml veg oil. Divided by 4, that is 30.5g each.
Many of the main meals have a similar amount of fat.0 -
1 Courgettes feedback was to go onto site - I showed it to DH with courgette's quote, and he thought it seemed a bit too 'aren't we great?' for the front page.
He thought the recipes etc should have a chance to speak for itself first. Since I hate arrogance in any form I didn't want the site to look proud, so I shelved that one
2 Info about omega 3 to go on to site
I'm guessing this is on the FAQ's page that people would like this?
3 Onion tart you were to make clear whether the weight of onions was peeled or not. Also an explanation of how to cook onions if your flan dish cannot be used on hob was requested
This is for the tarte tatin recipe isn't it? Sian, any tips on what kitty can do if she can't put her pretty circles of onion straight onto the hob in her dish? Can she just oven roast them for longer first?
