it wasn't so much that it was a separate entry, it's just that the dough aspect called for "1kg pizza dough", which I had no reference to (as in, was that 1/4 or 1/3 or even 1/2 of a batch of dough??) if I wanted to make it independently. So it needs to be clear enough if a random visitor wanted to make the just the calzones and not part of a larger batch of cooking? 'Cause that's what I was doing and why it was confusing. HTH.
    thanks aless :)

so, just to check then, if there's a hyperlink in bread dough, to the other page, where it talks through how to make it, would that be enough?

I feel a right prat now - and that's quite apart from the whole "talking to yourself on this thread" issue. I think me joining facebook may have caused more problems than good - I steered clear from it cos I didn't want to run into the ex, and then when I finally went on, didn't take him long to track me down and comment randomly on my post on the CFR wall. Sorry, guys - this does mean that I will not really be able to contribute on there publicly.

Still, at least he liked the recipe, I suppose - could have been worse, trust me on that one....

Can't you set your privacy so high that he can't even see you? Have you blocked him? Can the group/page owner block him?

    Hey,
I just dove right in on the old marmite-bread!
I made a third of a batch and used 2tsp of marmite dissolved into the water with the yeast. I guess that would be 6 tsp for the whole batch. I also made up a wash to go on half of my bread (which I made into rolls) with a tsp of marmite and some water, I wondered how it would go and I will let you know :)

The salt in the Marmite will inhibit the yeast, so I would advise to dissolve the yeast in half the water and the Marmite in the other half, and add the Marmite water AFTER all the yeast mix has been incorporated in the dough mix.

PERSONALLY, i would have the calzone as a seperate recipe link so u could find it. Within that, i would have a link back to the dough recipe, with a clarification that the calzone recipe uses 1/3 of the linked dough recipe (or whatever) the fraction is...but personally i find the batch recipes a bit annoying as it's hard to isolate the elements for those of us who just want to make 1 meal/item.

    Clear as mud? :o

    right ho :)

yes, the testers of one offs have to do a bit of maths to get the batch split down... which I agree would be annoying...

I'm thinking though that if I dissassemble them then that makes it harder for Kitty to do the batch cooking?

But if anyone wanted to draft me the recipes of the standalone ginger loaf, carrot loaf and calzone, then I will happily add those to the site too. Would that grab you as a good solve aless? :)

Trouble is, I don't really know how to use FB, which doesn't really help. I have blocked him and set my privacy settings so he can't bother me personally, but I didn't think of him seeing my posts on CFR wall and commenting on it ! Frankly, all I'm worried about is about him causing problems for Weezl and Aless - he can be rather unpleasant when he sets his mind to it !

Off to investigate privacy settings further - if there is a way to make me invisible to him on other walls, that'd be grand :)

ps sorry aless, I should have explained my thinking a bit more...

If reader is a kitty doing the entire month, then the batch is the best method, as it's a once oven, one lot of yeast economy.

If the reader is not a kitty doing the entire month, then this recipe, despite being super frugal isn't the cheapest one for her, because it wouldn't need to contain the ready oats and marmite, unless she was doing the full month.

So, in my thinking, I'm therefore trying to make it easy for kitty to access as a batch, but not so much like 'ta-dah!' a vegan calzone to everyone else, cos it's not the frugalest vegan calzone it could be... Erm, clear as double thick gloopy mud?

Allegra I *think* Aless would have to block him from writing on the wall as she is the page admin. Thats the problem with facebook it is easy to find people and see what they are up to. I have had similar problems in the past with family members I do not wish to be in contact with. Btw I found your daughter on there very easily so she may want to up her privacy settings too if she doesnt not wish to be found by him iyswim?

(I'm not stalkin your family btw:o)
