  • By the way....Sainsburys is actually cheaper than Lidl's this week for some fruit and veg as they have their 39p offer on...got a good size bag of potatoes for 39p at the weekend and also some Kiwis and carrots....hope the offer's still on as it was a good one!! Also, Lidl's ham joints are £2 ish this week (1/2 price)....LOTS of meat on them.....you could easily split it over a good couple of meals or put some in an omelette with your eggs!! Also some sandwiches!!

... For tea I'm going to use the chicken thighs in a casserole type thing served with rice (have loads of this) and easter egg for pud again

If you think what people survived on under WW2 rationing ...

Easter egg for pud would be my childhood idea of a treat!

Hi Just wanted to say hello and it would be good to know where you are Lemoncheesecake - there are loads of people offering a food parcel (including me in the merseyside/cheshire area) I know you probably see it as charity and could of course be offended by the offers - but trust me most of us have been in difficult situations with money and are more than happy to help - if you will let us!

i truly also feel sorry for you. Happened to my aunty a couple of weeks back and walked out of asda crying with her daughter. Then I went to lidl last week with £7.00 , but it is amazing what little bits you can buy to make a meal.
:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling
