moose - the cake is in the post :p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Shopping went well. Spent £112.60 of our £230 budget though!!!

Started to panic so sat down and worked out what we will need approx for the rest of the month which comes to about £70. So that gives an extra £40 for things i haven't thought of!

2 more days and i can get the £10 from scratchies!!!

Woohoo -not that i like football but GHANA WON! £5 in winnings for us. £15 if they get through the next stage! :D

Have printed out our budget and am ticking things when they are paid. Anything not in a budgetted category is written by our left over money figure. Then i can see what we have bought which takes away from our overpayment / wedding figure!

    So far

    batteries £3.29
    kids treat (toy) £4
Diesel (to fill up tank was £61.41 and we budget £60) £1.41

So £8.70 out of our £315.98 'left over' figure.

Went for a picnic to Fernworthy Reservoir today. It was beautiful and the kids managed to walk the 4 mile route! :j

Anyone else done any geocaching?? If not then it is where you use a GPS on a phone for example to find the 'treasure' in different places. You find ones to do online and log your progress etc. They usually give a little clue of sorts. We have been meaning to do one but never got round to it. Some times they are a little roll of paper you add your name to in a container and sometimes it could be a little present which you collect and put a replacement for the next person!! At the reservoir OH looked on his phone and saw there was one on the route!! We found the rough spot in the woodlands and searched!! In the end DD2 found it!!!!!!! It was a little black film container in a hole in a wall! Inside was a list of names but it was too soggy to add ours on! Fun though .But then a man came up behind us and he was looking for it too!!!! So we spoilt his trip!! :o

Went back to MIL's for a bbq and paddling pool in the garden. OH looked again and there are a group of 30 in that area. So we took SIL and BIL out and managed to find two of them to add our name to the lists in the pots!!! Didn't realise it was so popular. 8 people had found those pots in the last week alone!!!! We are going to start doing it a little more. It is fun and gets the kids out and about in the sunshine! And doesn't cost a penny!!!

So had a great day and didn't spend anything. (fair bit of fuel used though) So a NSD!! First one in my July!

Right thats me!! Better get to bed!! OH is asleep on the sofa! x

    Hey Moose.

Havn't watched the race yet. Sky plus wasn't clever enough to record it on BBC2 as it swapped channels!

I have seen Webbers crash though - that was crazy!!! From his on board camera all he can see is sky for ages!!!! LOL

Won 50p on scratches which means i went over the £10 mark so have withdrawn!!! That is to put in the xmas pot!! OH's stands at £4. (mine was higher as i played bingo and won the £6!!!)

Found £2 on the floor today!! woop woop!!!

Parents evening for DD2 for her starting school in Sept!! My baby is getting too big!!!!

Oh forgot to say on friday i may be having a tour of the Force India F1 factory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be confirmed today! Not my team of choice but great to see around a factory!

Force India Factory visit has been confirmed - 11am on friday!!!!!!!

OH helped the team manager with his sky tv requirements. He was apparently very helpful and gave them lots of advice over various emails. Force India ended up buying elsewhere but offered this tour as a thank you to OH for all his help! :D

Good day so far today. Saw my best friend for an hour and a half for a cup of tea. Though spent £4.75 on bus fares!! £2.75 on a return and then ended up getting a different bus back to be a bit earlier and so spent £2.00 on a single so wasted the return really! Though found £2 on the floor yesterday so that covered the extra fare!! Damn buses!!

Had a great meeting with DD2 reception class teacher for sept last night!! She was my year 1 teacher 20 years ago!! All good - great to see what routines they will have! My little baby is getting too big!
14 children are starting in the spet intake and 16 in the jan intake. Lexie starts in Sept and out of the 14 starting there are 13 girls!!! Mad!! In total when the January ones start there will be 22 girls out of 30!!! Quite a lot! DD1 is in a class of 20 boys and 10 girls.

Busy birthday parties for us! Luckily DD2 is 5 days younger than my sister so will be having joint parties in my mums big house and so will be sharing the cost!!

Wow that's amazing Kel :) It will be really interesting :D

How lovely that your old teacher is still at the school :) If/when we have kids unless we move somewhere else they will go to OH's old schools :) Our niece is there atm don't think any of his teachers are there though?

OMG how many girls lol, they'll all be fighting over the boys ;) x

:j for the factory tour! What a nice thing of them to do, not many people bother showing gratitude anymore!

Well done on the £2 find, I never seem to find money on the floor, am starting to wonder if it is me who drops it all :rotfl:. Glad the meeting with the teacher went well, I don't think any of my old teachers will still be teaching now, they were all in their 40's/50's when I was at school! Wow, that is a lot of girls, I think it seems to go in waves, last year everyone seemed to be having girls and now everyone who has fallen pregnant this year or had a baby this year have ahd boys.

I'm not worried, girls will still take over the world :D

    GIRLS rule! :D:D:D:D

    Had a good day!

Now not in work until Monday!! woohoo!! But then i have a busy week as my colleague is off and no one else knows how to do the ordering etc so i have to make sure i can get in to sort these things out on the one day i have off next week. I am working tues to make up for this friday!

Been counting calories these last few days.

My BMR tells me i use just over 2000 calories a day for my height weight and exercise level.

Mon my calorie count was 1199, and tuesday was 1281. So not doing too badly.

    NSD today!!!

I think from the end of this month i am going to start my grocery budget to be calendar months rather than the 4weeks/5week months. I have to adjust my budget for 5 week months and plus it means sometimes i am waiting for the grocery challenge thread as i am ready for it before anyone else.

Also with NSDs. i will do calendar months. People get confused when i post i have had 3 NSD's but we are not even in july yet!!!!

The spending diary/budget sheet is really helping. It stops me buying things which aren't budgetted for as i don't want to write it in the column to take out of 'left over money'!!!

Bought DD2's school jumpers yesterday! £16 out of my £25 budget! I know i will go over clothing budget over the next couple of months as DD2 needs a complete uniform and DD1 needs all uniform except PE kit and school jumpers. She started there in the summer so has had summer dresses donated by my aunt. So she needs polo shirts and blue skirts. Oh and tights! :D

    I think i may take advantage of M+S's 3 for 2 offers!

Right off to cook for the kids and get an hour of exercise before OH is back to cook me steak and homemade chips! I am only going to have a couple of chips. Have consumed 869 calories so far today so have a bit of room to have a good dinner and keep it under 1400 x
