You are paid for the previous fortnight-if you look at the coupon you sign, it should always have the dates on it for which you are signing.0

No more help from me and can I suggest to others that they follow suit.
At least those "inbred cretins" have a job, which is more than what you have.
(And shame on you donnajunkie for reccing the post).
Good luck OP , your going to need it.

My friend found this slide from the DWP website which shows the JSA route:
From the diagram above it seems there maybe a Stage 5 soon which forces jobseekers to work for their benefit for up to 6 months. At the moment if you leave FND or once you have completed FND you maybe fast tracked to Stage 3. This means you could sign on for a further 6 months and would probably be put back on FND. Stuck with the provider again for another year.
Heres another link which says there maybe pilots running from October for the WFYB scheme: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/supplying-dwp/what-we-buy/welfare-to-work-services/work-for-your-benefit/
By the way, whenever people sign on at the jobcentre are they processing the payment for the coming fortnight or are they being paid in arrears for the previous fortnight? Just to make sure.
i believe the stage 5 you refer to is the fnd phase 2. when you sign on you are signing to say you have been doing jobsearch and have not done any work for the past fortnight. the payment you get a few days later is for that fortnight including the day you signed on.0 -

when i had my getting to know you meeting with my advisor the following happened. she said to the person at the next desk. that person didnt turn up last week. the person replied by saying they had a bereavement. my advisors reaction was oh well i've already sanctioned him. she then carried on with what she was doing with me. she didnt care at all.
Yes and thats the sort of vile cretins who run them courses are all about...thriving on a petty authority and on a little power trip. I can well believe this to be true...0 -

Surely she shouldnt be discussing customers personal situations in front of other customers, isnt this a breach of data protection ?0 -

yes and this is a big part of why people hate having to do these courses. people may believe courses like this should exist in principal but surely they dont believe it is ok for them to be as they are.0
