Morning
used up a small bs body butter this morning, it was a passionfruit which I preffered to the strawberry one I used the other week but I still think I would prefer a non fruity smell.
dont think I have anymore of these in my stash but have plenty of other body lotions and potions to be using up before I can buy anything new.0 -
Morning!
I'm still using up products slowly. I think this is probably the easy bit as I'm only using products that were already open, so although they obviously weren't finished for a reason, at least I'm getting through them quite quickly.
So far this week:
Timotei shea butter shampoo WIBA maybe if it was on offer and I've finished my other 12 bottles of shampoo that I already have
Palmolive Aquarium handwash WIBA yes, I love this handwash, and the Boots Essentials that I've opened is really drying on my hands, on the plus side at least I'm getting through the handcream now!
Philip Kingsley scalp tonic - got suckered into buying this when I went for a free haircut at a posh place with a voucher from I think Cosmo. Never really known what it was for, it feels lovely and cold when you put it on, but don't think it does anymore than that! WIBA nope.
Have opened:
Lush dream conditioner - is nearly 3 years past it's expiry date but was unopened and smells alright, and seems to be doing the job.
Avon poppy and almond milk shampoo - smells really sickly, esp when combined with vanilla conditioner - not enjoying but only 1/4 of the bottle to go...
Avon blue algae face cream - this had been opened about 5 years ago so was wary of using it on my face. Started using it as a hand cream but have ended up using it as an all over body moisturiser and it's fantastic! It's not greasy, smooths on really easily, smells lovely (probably a bit too much to be used on the face which might be why I stopped using it!) and my skin is looking fab!
So I'm doing alright and have discovered an extra element to this challenge. After sorting out the shelving unit in my spare room where I keep my stash, and rummaging through every drawer in the house so I could make sure I counted it all on my first go, I felt inspired to tidy up, so have now completely decluttered, tidied and cleaned my bedroom, bathroom and the spare room, and am making some progress on the lounge and kitchen. So the house has never looked better, and neither have I!! Even my husband commented on how good my skin was looking!
So thank you to you all for all your encouragement

Morning all!
Managed to use up a shower gel and opened the next "everyday" shower gel for OH and I to use. Also have posh ones that OH is banned from but tend to use these for special occasions.
Also thought that I'd finish a shampoo and conditioner today but when I went to chuck them out there's probably another wash left in them. Boo!0 -

Welcome! Hopefully you will realise what we have concluded as you get on: special offers are just another drain in your resources if you don't actually use what you have bought, and that if the product goes off before you have the chance to use it as you have so many others, then it was a total waste of cash. Please call me 'Pickle'

Hi, can I rejoin please? I have taken part in the previous challenges since Jan and have made a huge headway through my stash and don't think I have bought as much as I used to. Have just come back from Tenerife where I bought :-
A full size of Smashbox Photo Finish Primer which was a great price on the plane. This was an intended purchase in any event as I was hoping to see Smashbox products at the airport. Was probably a bonus that they only had a very limited selection on the plane! I do however have a small amount of MAC Prep and Prime and a tube of Philosophy primer to finish first.
Decleor clay and herbal mask - got it at a good discounted price. This was an intended purchase as I bought one from Tenerife last year and it is a wonderful product. Also bought the foaming cleanser which was used on me during a Decleor facial so thought I would treat myself.
Bought a tub of Aloe Vera night cream. Was one of those purchases that I suppose I shouldn't have made because it was the same price as the LE one that I use but thought I'd try something different.
Also bought a 100ml bottle of Tommy Girl with 200mls each of shower gel and body lotion. Have searched on internet to see if the prices were good - got the 100ml for same price as 50ml and the gel and lotion for £17.50 each which I thought was good but since looking see that it is reduced everywhere. Mind you if it's going to be discontinued I'm glad I got it as I like the freshness of it's fragrance.
Have today also offered to buy a bottle of OPI lacquer from someone on shoppingtelly.com wihch they bought in the TSV which was on whilst I was away. This is good for me though as other years I would have gone online to see what the TSV was and impulsively ordered it whilst on hols. I knew before hand what the products were and decided against buying it as I only wanted one colour from the kit which I have offered to buy.
So, am aiming not to buy anything else this month. I will continue using the products in my bathroom and then move onto finishing off the travel sizes that I took with me before re-assessing the stock pile.
I finished a travel size of L'Occitane Verbena shower gel over there although to be fair some of it was used to wash clothes in the bath tub! WIBA? Probably yes. As citrusy fragrances go this one is lovely although saying that I also took with me a travel size of Balance Me Lime and Ginger which is just as lovely. It depends on price when I'm next looking for a fresh shower gel.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

:TOooh in the weekly update, that's good. Hopefully it'll spread the word to avoid us all having kitchen cabinets, boxes, drawers and lofts like a mini branch of Boots. And so save money by not buying duplicates or pushing stuff to the back of the cupboard cos we're bored. Well done to katieclampet on the original thread/idea, I have a lot to thank her for. Well done to Bronnie for keeping us in order and creating the April thread.
Just realised that I'm now down to my last body lotion. I can't quite belief this, I have no body cream stash. I only have the one I'm using. Woo hoo! So I need to buy some body butter today (Sainsbugs Champneys for me).
Just need to get the following into a similar state of order and I'm a reformed woman:
- eye cream (have 4 of these)
- face cream (loads)
- foundation (loads)

Darn, I forgot PYNM and tuesday!
Nails are a bit of a state actually, flaking againI'll have a shape and handcream session tonight instead.
I finished the sample of By Terry moisturiser, and no, its not for me. too heavy for the time of year too. My friend and I walked dogs together this morning and she asked what was wrong with my face: it was greasy and shiny because the stuff wouldn't sink in.
I also have been trying to use up a tube of Clinique eye cream, bought in a PMT shopping moment on an easyjest flight. I hate this, it puffs up my eyes so much that someimes I can barely see out. It would be great I think for eyes that really needed some puffing out, mine are at sort of preventative stage not puffing stage: in fact, I wonder if the puffing might cause stretching? DH who usually takes on the dregs of creams for me, couldn't get on with it either. would eyecream help the back of hands?
Hello to anyone reading on the strength of the weekly email! We're very friendly and accept new challengers, so use up your stash....its more fun than it is daunting...atually finishing stuff is brilliant!0
