I had a small Liz Earle Superskin moisturiser (smells of fish to me...yuck!! freshly opened and stored in cool dark place so has not gone off) on the backs of my hands.
I know what you mean.... I have some Palmers Scar Serum which I bought for a scar on my face, but it stinks so much of fish to me that I can't bear to use it within 3 feet of my poor nose! :rotfl:

I use those little metal bulldog clips on tubes of all types. Helps keep the soft plastic toothpaste tubes rolled up too, til you're ready to chop them open to scrape out the final dregs!

Ditto the fish smell! Had a sniff of these products (eye serum I think and a decolette type serum) and they both had a funny smell. On QVC they said it had no smell... I know we should go by performance blah blah but the thing has to be pleasant to use.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

You're right, I noticed that with the handcream as well. I thought it had a bit of a vinegary smell to it, but there's definitely a whiff of fish there as well.

Babafette, don't give in, do what Lostinrates says and crack open a new product for a treat. If it's one you've never used before, it'll be just like buying something new only you won't have spent any money, and you'll have reduced your stash by one.

HAve a pamper session with what you have tonight, something you might not normally do that will make you feel indulged.

Thanks for the encouragement lostinrates and judgejaq. It's silly really because buying something won't cheer me up anyway and I'll only end up wracked with guilt for breaking the challenge. I'm just feeling a bit disheartened at the moment, but I've decided I'll definitely be staying well away from the shops today. :o

Maybe I'll be able to use up one of the shower gels later this evening - that would give me a bit of a boost. :)

If you're really desperate to use something up, how about cracking open a new (to you) product to treat yourself with and also cleaning your bathroom with one of the other shower gels. They are surprisingly good at cleaning bathrooms and leave a nice smell. It also helps you to use up one item from your stash when you're sick of it!
