I had that too from waxing, but you know, I think that was actually a burn from the wax being too hot . I pay a bit more attention now, when she tests it on my arm and says, "Is that OK?" !!

Ooooh, maybe it was a burn then! And I never get the wax tested on my arm  Think I might start looking for somewhere else to go!

This has nothing to do with toiletries but had my eyebrows threaded on saturday and eyebrows were sore - have not had them done for a while. But then when i was taking off my eyeshadow my eyes were really sore. Then i noticed that the skin under my eyebrows had bled. Has this happened to anyone before?
:( that sounds horrible. I've never had my eyebrows threaded... probably never will either, after reading that! x

Completely Lost, when I've dyed my hair black in the past I've used the Boots Colour black dye, worked well for me although I have light brown/reddy hair. I have a spare pack which I'll never use again (hairdresser dyes now :D) if you would like me to post it to you?i
Oooh, are you sure? If you don't mind, I'd really appreciate it :)
Actually, I was looking in the hairdresser suppliers shop just the other day and was tempted to buy the whole kit (I've been dying my hair black for about 6-months now) but I resisted as I knew I had a box of dye left in my stash.

I see some people with such dark black hair and I do wonder how they get it like that. Jordan isn't someone I aspire to look like, but her hair always looks super dark - http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/showbiz-dean-piper/css/jord.jpg

Then again, I guess she has the most expensive stylist and most of her hair is extensions!
BTW I have light asian skin so I don't think that the black hair looks harsh against my skin like it does against some of the tangoed chavs I see who sport a similar hair colour :S

Evening ladies and a very warm welcome to all the newbies. :)

I'm still doing the challenge, but it's really slow going and every now and then I just feel rather overwhelmed. I've only managed to use up a small Imperial Leather Foamburst shower gel which was lovely. Would I buy it again? Yes, but I actually think they have repackaged it since and I'm not even sure they still make the scent I used. :o

I'm also finding it tough sticking to using the same things day in, day out. I am now rotating the dregs of three different shower gels and two different moisturisers just for a bit of variety.

I hope everyone else is well.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

I know the feeling, Babafette... the other day I poured the dregs from 5 shower gel/bubble bath/shampoo bottles into a hand soap dispenser just to get rid of them :S The result was greeny-purple & odd smelling handwash, but does the job fine!

Only one thing to report bought and that was some nail varnish remover, which was definitely a need. I got a tub of what I thought were Sally Hansen nail varnish remover pads from Poundland.

That'll teach me to read the label properly - what it actually was was one of those tubs with the foam pad you dip your finger into. Have you ever tried to stick your toe into one of those? No, me neither, although the thought did actually cross my mind for the tiniest of split seconds. :rotfl:

Fortunately before running the risk of getting my foot stuck in a plastic tub, I figured I could just as easily dip a cotton wool pad in, which worked well enough, so £1 not wasted.

Used up the last Molton Brown mini bath and shower gel - can't remember what it was, so I think we can safely say it was a no to WIBA?

Tonight, used up a Lush candy cane bath bar, so currently smelling like a sweet shop. I really want to use some of my Lush body lotions, but I've still got about another week of the body cream oil (aka goose grease) to test.

I get my eyebrows threaded and if your skin is bleeding then it probably means they have caught your skin. If I were you I would carry on with threading but go to another beautician.
I am a big fan as it gives a really clean finish to the brows and waxing gives me a rash!!

also I think I might need to get some of the garnier summer body that has been mentioned. I am so pale my legs are florescent lol and I have yet to try a tinted moisteriser that doesnt look orange!!

Poor you that sounds very painful. I have been having my eyebrows threaded for over a year now and have never had this problem I'm glad to say, as it would have probably put me off completely! I would think that it is quite rare for this to happen with threading - possibly more likely with wax which as people have said can be too hot. Maybe the threader you had was not very experienced, or maybe was rushing for some reason.

I would avoid wearing eyeshadow until it has healed up completely, then you won't have to use any eye make up remover on that area. Perhaps relaxing with some slices of cucumber on your eyelids would help a little to soothe it (trying to think of something money saving here!).

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon :)
    Love Candice xx
