    Hello folks,

I've just used a Schwartzkopff Live XXL colour (or however you spell it!) plain black hair dye that someone told me was really good.. and it didn't even colour my hair  So annoyed about that. Can anyone recommend me a good black hair dye? I usually use Clairol Perfect 10 & it's good but not as black as I'd like.

Anyway! At least it has gone from the stash now and I won't buy it again. I wouldn't care but I've used their blue-black dye before and it worked great. But the plain black didn't - weird!

I've also used up a pack of wipes, a mascara & a deodorant.
& spent 9p today on some more wipes & toothpaste (paid with £3 vouchers, 9p cash).

Quite proud of myself this past few weeks :)

oh my. I stay away for a week and when I come back you are ten pages into a new thread..eek! Will sit down and catch up after I post.

I come to confess. I have sinned (sort of).

I was given a freebie pack of Simple products to try. Must say that based on what I've tried so far (as well as my bad experience with their face wash) I don't think I'll be buying anything from the brand when the samples run out.

Funnily enough the only product I liked were the face wipes, which I don't normally use and would never buy.

Since I didn't actually buy anything am I forgiven?

ETA: wahoo I just got my first star. I'm guessing that's linked to the number of posts? :)

This has nothing to do with toiletries but had my eyebrows threaded on saturday and eyebrows were sore - have not had them done for a while. But then when i was taking off my eyeshadow my eyes were really sore. Then i noticed that the skin under my eyebrows had bled. Has this happened to anyone before?

Completely Lost, when I've dyed my hair black in the past I've used the Boots Colour black dye, worked well for me although I have light brown/reddy hair. I have a spare pack which I'll never use again (hairdresser dyes now :D) if you would like me to post it to you?i

Ouch that sounds painfull :( Maybe the skin was caught aswell as some hair? I'm not an expert on threading and have only ever done my own. A cold flannel might help take some pain away though?

I haven't bought anything but I have finished a Radox bubble bath... african something or other... it's brown but smelt quite nice and was a change to the normal smelling ones.

I broke my own rule of not opening anything until I have to :o I opened my S&G i-foam and spa body butter from my hatbox on Friday!! Not sure about the body butter but the i-foam was really nice. I'm saving it for w/e's so I can justify using it while I have something else open :rotfl:

My legs are mega itchy from using my epilator and I'm half tempted to selotape some oven gloves to my hands. Does anyone else get very itchy legs when the hairs start growing back? Thats from any form of hair removal btw.
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.

It's happened to me before with waxing, had a graze under my eyebrow for a few days, was sore so I feel your pain! Hope you're okay!

I've been following and loving these threads since they started, and it's really motivated me to use up my open bottles and tubes and not just keep starting new products without finishing anything.

In the last couple of weeks, I've used up:

    • Avon foot cream - WIBA? - no, this was so runny, it poured out of the tube before I squeezed it. A bit of a blah product, it did nothing for me.
    • Elemis Exotic Island Flower Body Balm - WIBA? - maybe, the smell of this is gorgeous, but it didn't seem to be hugely moisturising, so maybe it'd be better in the summer. I've got an unopened one still to use, so no plans to buy this anytime soon.
    • Lush King of Skin - WIBA? - no, this seems like Buffy but without the scrubby bits. Another blah product.
    • Lush You Snap the Whip - WIBA? - I love this - it's like a blackcurrant Buffy, really scrubby and smells lovely - but it only lasts me 2 goes and costs a fiver. I've got another in the cupboard, but I don't think I'd buy this again until I was completely out of body scrub, and even then only as a treat.
    • Philosophy supernatural poreless flawless - WIBA? - oh yes, this is one of my very few can't live without products - my skin looks so much better when I use this.
    • Philosophy microdelivery peel - WIBA? - maybe - it did make my skin very smooth, but have you seen the price of this stuff??!! No way would I pay full price. I've got another to use up and after that it'd need to be on a very very special offer for me to buy it again.
Things I am using and can't wait to get to the end of:
    • Philosophy when hope is not enough facial serum - this smells like beer, and is doing nothing for my skin. I'm being generous with the drops in the hope it'll be gone soon.
    • Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair - this is not having the desired effect on my hair. I'm having to alternate with Lush's squeaky green shampoo bar just to stop my hair getting lanky - this will teach me that a buy one, get one free deal at Boots is not a good deal if it's for massive bottles of products that I haven't tried and may not like.

    Snipped...

I have the same problem! I shave my legs and they itch like crazy! I keep scratching and leaving scratch marks! Drives me crazy!

I had that too from waxing, but you know, I think that was actually a burn from the wax being too hot . I pay a bit more attention now, when she tests it on my arm and says, "Is that OK?" !!
