  • I know the feeling, Babafette... the other day I poured the dregs from 5 shower gel/bubble bath/shampoo bottles into a hand soap dispenser just to get rid of them :S The result was greeny-purple & odd smelling handwash, but does the job fine!

I am really glad that I am not the only one to do that! :T It always reminds me of "make your own perfume" sets etc I used to have as a kid! Ohhh maybe that's where my toiletries addiction started ....! :)

Still haven't managed to finish anything else, have a rimmel lipstick that is right down to the bottom, every time I think I will be finished it I manage to get another day out of it!

Bumped my knee in work the other day, had to pull up my trouser leg to have a look at it, lovely blue leg on display for all my work colleagues to see. Very embarrassing, but at least I had shaved them! Have Dove and Johnsons gradual tanners and a bottle of St Morritz self tanning mousse, think I will be doing a trial to find out which is the best.

just had my lovely relaxing bath - in the true spirit i started using up a sanctuary body lotion that i had in a gift set xmas 2008 ( i know, i know thats why i am on here!) was ok on my legs yesterday, but today after applying liberally 5 mins later my arms and bum were on fire! had to have a cold shower to wash the damn stuff off! - think one for the bin.

I had the exact same problem, my whole body felt like it was on fire, it was agony.

ouch to the poor people who ave had their skin caught while having brows threaded it sounds very painful.
re the ones who commented on sores after waxing and itching lags after treatments my waxer told me last time if she notices a sore patch of skin she WONT wax that area as if she rips the skin off with the wax that area goes so weak it cant be waxed for a year to give it time to recover. She mentioned an elderly lady who hadnt told her shed had a sore chin and the skin lifted so left her with a graze that couldnt be waxed but had to be plucked for a year to let the new skin heal completely. She also suggests a 'good' loofa or sissal type exfoliator not the plastic scrunchy type ones as the itching is the new hair trying to grow through the folicles that have closed so you need a good exfoliate to stop the hairs itching or in te worst case ingowing if they cant find their way out. BTW she ALWAYS does a wax test so you are happy with the temp.

had a couple of use ups to report
avon anew retroactive eye serum WIBA yes felt lovely skin aound eyes is much improved after regular use of this. (seems firmer under eye) starting my tester roll on product now
tub of mande lular. WIBA it was ok but wasnt that impressed to be honest anyway i have tons more body lotions to get through

PYNM today i must do them later - fingers and toes need doing this week.

    Morning all!
Just a little spend to report - 55p on cotton wool pads and 29p on Mr T Value face wipes. I'd never seen these before and they may well be rubbish but for 29p thought it was worth giving them a go!
So my total spend for April on toiletries is now £1.49!

Still ploughing through the bottles on the go at the moment but hope to finish a shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the next few days. Oh, and an eye gel! Mustn't forget that one!

Used up pine mini bubble bath last night and it seems to have helped my cold. Also used a bit of my St Tropez body scrub. Bought this on special offer although wouldn't do it again as it is a strange blue colour and haave used cheaper scrubs that are much nicer. Will fake tan my legs with St Tropex mouse either tonight or tomorrow. Might do it tonight as still don't have much of a sense of smell and dislike that fake tan smell of burnt biscuits. Being very good and not getting the B S coconut body butter which does kill the smell as have to use up old lotions first.

I was getting really low on conditioner, so I bought some half price conditioner this morning. I bought two bottles, pantene ice shine and....um, forgoton the other one, Dove I think, yes Dove. They are for the wash stage of conditioner only washing, so not gone for the normal type for my hair type. I hope they are good!

Hello all, I'm having a wobble today. I'm struggling a bit, really feel like mooching around Boots and buying something to cheer myself up. I never shop in The Body Shop, but I am even tempted to go in just to have a sniff of the new Sweet Lemon range. :embarasse

My stash is just so daunting and seems to be neverending. :(
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

I get those....my tip, break something new from the stash open, indulge in a ''new to you'' product you already own. Or a luxury one you've been hoarding, or failing either of those add a skin safe essential oil to perk something plain up! HAve a pamper session with what you have tonight, something you might not normally do that will make you feel indulged.

Used up the dregs of a small Cleanse & Polish. Won't be buying again, as it no longer takes my make up off, so I can only use it as an AM cleanser, and there are cleansers far cheaper than this!!

I have started to use items from my stash (things that I wasn't really looking forward to using as have gone off them now) in different ways. I had a small Liz Earle Superskin moisturiser (smells of fish to me...yuck!! freshly opened and stored in cool dark place so has not gone off) on the backs of my hands. When finished, I have the Neal's Yard Francinsence moisturiser (freebie with magazine last year) that I will use up in the same way. I don't have many hand creams to use up, and it feels good taking stuff out of my stash!!

On the MSE website, somebody recommended buying paint tube squeezers from The Works to squeeze your skincare tubes with. Good as it also makes sure you have no air in the tube, that could dry the cream out. Apparantly they are in a pack of 10 for about £1 (?) I think.
