They didt say anything about going the upgrade online route to me. She just said buy it as a new customer, then call customer services once I have the SIM and they will sort it.

And if you went the upgrade online route, there would be a good chance of not getting the cashback anyway? New customers only.

PUK and PAC are two different things, PAC is for moving your phone number to a different network whereas PUK is for unlocking your handset to be able to use a SIM from a different network (I think).

Sorry that may have been my mistake. Didn't quite hear her through her mumbling.

You're correct; I was just about to post the same thing.

Still wondering if anyone knows how easy/hard it is to be accepted for this if your credit rating isn't great?

What happens after the 12 months are up? Are you then automatically on a contract for £25 per month or can you revert to a PAYG sim? Thinking of this for my children but I don't want to end up paying £25 per month for it when the year is up.

Not much help to the current deal, but if you get refused Tesco seem to be very easy going - I didn't need any ID at all, just my bank card and Clubcard when I signed with them. AFAIK there was no credit check at all!

The offer is for 12 month contracts only iirc, just make sure you contact o2 a month before the contract ends. You could either try to get the same deal for < £25 from retentions or go somewhere else.

Knowing o2 they will probably be offering a similar cashback deal again in 12 months.

Ooh, ok, that's great to know; I want an iPhone. Did you do it online? I mean, do you just photocopy the ID or what happens?

The Tesco contract iPhones are only in store or by telephone not online: apparently the store staff are not on commission so I found it a pleasant experience! :T Like i say, no ID was required other than my debit card even tho I went in with utility bills and all that jazz. Read the last few pages of the main 'cheapest iPhone' thread on this board and the iPhone article on the main MSE site for more info.
