Have taken on board the 'squeeze the loo roll' tip, and been and done it to mine now,am sure it will make a difference
It does. Not sure why, must be something to do with it not all flying off easily. But I've noticed it does make a big difference. Unfortunately this is countered by an overenthusiastic 3 year old in our house. OH thinks I'm crazy.
Before buying anything over the internet I insist on checking pigsback, then searching for discount vouchers etc. Have been known to spend an hour searching for a voucher to come away with a discount of £2.50.
I also wipe the sink with my facial cloths after use, but have stopped using them as they seem to have made my skin worse (shame, I've got 3 packs!). But they were free thanks to a £5 off voucher from Boots. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
ive found that i use baby wipes as facial wipe (if you get a cleaner just pour alittle on a wipe it last ages), kitchen surface wipe as i dont like the bleach ones as my little madam like to help (i just put alittle dettol on my wipe) bathroom and toilet wipes and as duster.... there cheap esp when you get basics and you dont have to have so many products... i always worried my 5 years, with the way shes so nosiy will get her hands on things shes not suspose to lol xxx
Still searching .....:)

I have very long hair and once I've shampooed my hair (before rinsing) and my hands are still covered in suds I quickly wipe down the shower screen and rinse it once I've rinsed out the shampoo.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

I have been getting strange looks from my oh whilst reading this because of the giggles!
I too do the upside down bottle thing..get the dregs out of jars etc with water. I cut my kids hair...they all take turns with the bath. I only buy one multi surface cleaner for everything (bathroom ,kitchen, floors). I re use carriers and sandwich bags. When I had a bagged vac I used to poke all the muck out through the hole with a pencil because I refused to buy new ones. I buy really cheap washing liquid for the clothes and buy a good fabric conditioner to make it smell nice (although I only use half the recommended amount)! When I have finished with the washing up sponge I use it to clean the bathroom, I had a beautiful fire surround from a skip at my previous house , I have also rescued one from a skip and sold it!......I could go on and on ...at least I am not alone!

Ok ok I do most of the things included here but my DP reckons I am the only person who.....................
Cleans entire carpets with lint rollers to remove the dog hairs etc........am I?Or is someone else as obsessed about dog hair as I am
I hate it, I love having pets but I have to vacuum several times a day then on carpets it just doesn't get enough hair up, as I prove with the amount I take off. I do sometimes do the whole carpet with sticky tape wrapped round my hand or with a rubber glove but I have myself a friction burn on my hand last time I did the whole carpet with a glove and made a hole in the glove so the rollers back out to save my hands.
One day I might be more organised...........

LOL! :rotfl: Thats why we have laminate in the lounge and lino in the kitchen...a quick wizz round with the vac does the trick. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and the hairs are a pain...
but lil_me I think you must be unique. Have you tried one of those pet grooming gloves,it might be a little more affective than the rubber ones which wear out and less painfull!. I have done the sticky tape thing for clothes but never carpets:whistle: .JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

I have not managed to read through the whole of this thread (yet!), so forgive me if someone has mentioned this already - I found a use for those silly shower caps from hotel rooms. During the winter, when I am not using my hanging baskets, I empty them, hang them upside-down and put the shower cap over it. I then hang a bird feeder in the middle and the shower cap keeps the rain off - nice dry food for the birds!!:rotfl:0

We have hard floors downstairs in the sitting room, kitchen and utility it's just the conservatory, hall, stairs and upstairs where there is carpet, the dogs don't go upstairs it's just what gets transfered on clothes/socks etc. I'll be honest with the kitchen/utility where it's granite floors the hair shows up loads more which makes me worse, I had to redo it earlier when I counted 4 hairs
I haven't tried the grooming glove, I do have one of those, might have a go and see if it works as well.
Shower caps, they make great shoe covers for wearing when you have just cleaned. What a lovely way of using them scottish lassy, I bet it keeps the bird food nicer too, guessing it doesn't scare the birds away? One day I might be more organised...........

Don't know whether this has been mentioned, but I had to iron hubby a shirt last night for today. Big stack of ironing in the box but I didn't have time to do anymore, but after switching the iron off I ironed 2 pairs of boxers whilst it was cooling down!
