I very carefully tacked up the hems on my son's school trousers and then when I was happy with them and had stitched them properly then I undid the tacking and reused the thread on the other pair. Is this normal I ask myself?:rotfl: :rotfl:

I always reuse tacking threads.
When altering clothes I've been known to undo the overlock stiching on original seam/hem etc so I can reuse the matching cotton

I keep old toothbrushes for cleaning around taps, plugholes and overflows. if you do this just make sure you keep them out of the way so they don't get used for tooth brushing
They are also useful for giving to kids to do painting or 'pretend painting' on concrete outside with waterMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I go away a lot with work and always bring the little soaps from the hotels home with me-I got home last week and unpacked and a little pile of 11 soaps fell out of my case. It all delays spending 24p or whatever it is for 4 bars of value soap, you know...some kind of strange satisfaction to it, anyway. Have taken on board the 'squeeze the loo roll' tip, and been and done it to mine now,am sure it will make a difference0

I use them for my face & neck--working my way to underarms--feet---wipe round the bathroom washbasin & finally cleaning the WC seat.
All with one wipe
