carefulspender wrote:Yes it does work fine and most of the time you don't need to dilute the showergels. About handwashes being expensive- Have just discovered that Tesco is selling own brand anti-bacterial handwash (bright blue stuff) for 34p for a 500ml bottle.Works fine and costs 68p per litre !0

If you have a largish weedy area, drag a bit of old carpet or similar over it for a few weeks and the weeds will all die due to lack of light.
I agree that salt should be used with caution in the garden, as even a small amount can make the ground infertile, except for seaside plants:D0 -

He he - now that goes a bit too far! Thing is, I like the handwash to be really moisturising and smell nice, hence my query about being able to use bath/shower bottle & decant into handwash... I prefer something like coconut or shea butter, rather than antibacterial (unless I have been gardening and really going for it with the dirt).MFW #185

The handwash bottle by our downstairs handbasin is a mixture of Radox bubble bath and the original handwash. It is quite creamy - from the handwash - in fact it looks kind of pearly as the handwash was very creamy and opaque, but the bubble bath was transparent. It has a nice scent, too. I am always being given bubble bath - don't know why, as I mostly use the shower - so it is nice to be able to use it for something!0

rainbowrisin wrote:I recently tried some of the Radox Heavenly bubble bath (as it was TMF), and it was really moisturising and smelled lovely. I would think that would work well as handwash, and as it's still TMF you could experiment at no cost?
Sounds like I will give it a go - what's TMF by the way?MFW #185

Just while I'm waiting for someone to explain TMF, I've done something so disgusting, I've shamed even myself....my housemate throws food away if it's past the sell-by date, even if it's absolutely fine. It breaks my heart, so today, I might have removed a packet of crisps from the bin and taken them to work with me.......Overpay!0

When I'm cooking say veggies and potatoes, I save the dead match and relight the other end from the already alight gas ring, which the potatoes are cooking on. Then light the other ring for the veggies.
Only used one match. Is that taking things a tad to far0 -

Oh, thank god, I'm not alone in my madness!
Something I haven't seen on here yet is adding few drops of vinegar in the ketchup bottle then shake to help get the dregs out (after it's been upside down and is getting difficult to shift).Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)
