PS we only buy curry paste when it's on a deal, Mr T's often do the Pataks ones for £1 a jar! You get 4 curries out of one jar so it works out quite cheap.

Right, a little bit tiddly but am ready to post....hic...lol. Everything was going well, had the dinner ready, was just mashing the potatoes and OH phoned and said to meet him down the pub. DB is here so we went and drank a bit.

So now we're home and the boys are in the kitchen putting together the meal I cooked earlier. :S. Good news though! I found another purge that went through when I was away, so that takes me up to £30 for the month, not as much as last month but hey, it all helps.

Also I have a bid on my ebay! Finally, I was getting worried about that. OMG I have had to retype these words lots of times after hitting the wrong keys so I will give up for tonight and catch up for tomorrow.....................lol

Actually I've just reread that post from last night and it is the one with least typo's I have ever written!!! Should do that every night! :p

No I haven't spent anything today, I put my spare pennies in the penny jar, so I'm doing really well, another NSD! Mind you, we went to Mr T's this morning and OH spent money. :p. We had duck for road today, which was good. Also picked up some reduced chicken that went straight in the freezer, this will do the curry I planned for tuesday with the left over chicken, which turned out to be NO left over duck...

I baked loads of twinks today and millies cookies with cherries in, these are great lunch box fillers. Ebay is looking better, have got some bids now and have def sold 4 things. Both my archaeology study books are being bid on by the same person.

This week I don't anticipate spending any money until the weekend. We have everything we need now. Will use the last money in my bank account to buy fresh stuff next weekend like fruit etc and post ebay sales, then see what's left over. This week and next week are really the ones when all the bills come in so I can see the budget for May.

I have two birthdays in May, DSS and Nephew's niether expensive as they are 5 and 9 respectively. We do, however, have my dad's May Party which he has every year in North Wales - which means buying alcohol stashes and treat stuff.

Anyway going to sign off now to watch more golf! Come on Westwood!

Poor Westwood in the end! Though Mickelson was fantastic!!! Would have loved either of them to win.....not a huge Mickelson fan but he has been through so much in the last year i think he deserved it!:T My Padraig went out on the second day so i was not too happy! :(

I'm jealous of all your baking!!! I really want to bake some bits this week...don't know what yet though!!! We are having a decorating rich tea biscuits with melted chocolate and decorations tomorrow evening!! :D

I hope you are well x

Today was uneventful. So thoroughly boring and uneventful I am just fed up. The sun looks so inviting out there I am just desperate to get out in it, but I can't and I have to sit at my desk looking through the huge glass windows at the big huge people in the big huge sunshine! Grrr!

Nothing changed on the money front, all of my ebay items sold, didn't make a lot of money but made about £25. Will get everything paid for and post it all tomorrow at lunch time. Need to get some more stuff to list. Urgh I'm still in a bad mood.

Kel the millies cookies and twinks recipes are SO easy, seriously, very good. eAnother no spend day here today, took some rolls into work that weren't that great, but ate them and didn't go over the shop. Tomorrow I have to post some ebay stuff but that's it. Oh what an enjoyable life this is.....

it is horrible having to sit in an office and work hard when it's just too nice outside isn't it.
Can i please ask what 'purging' is? hope you don't mind. where did you find the receipe or millies cookies? was it on the OS board? sorry for all the questions.

    Morning Lemon.
A purge is an additive we sell at my work (service department), we do two - one to clean air conditioning and the other to clean the fuel system. Not very interesting but I get £2.50 if I sell a pair of them so they can be worth an extra £50 a month to me!
Can't remember where exactly I got the millies cookies recipe, I will see if I can remember it as I am at work now:
75g - Granulated sugar (not caster)
75g - soft brown sugar (not demerera)
75g - butter (not marg, I used tesco value)
    1 x egg
    175g - self raising flour
    pinch of salt

Cook at 180 degrees for 11 minutes exactly, no more, no less. These are pretty much perfect every time. I generally put in a small tub of glace cherries chopped in half as these are EXACTLY like millies cookies do it :)
