Well yes and no on that in a way. As if they have simply pulled the stock off the shelf then they are in a way fraudulently withdrawing a cd that's clearly part of an offer. What's to say they have not done this to get the customers in store, let in run for 24 hours and then stuck hundreds if the £1 cd's back in storage?. Now that would also be fraudulent in a way in order to get spending customers through the door on news of a to good to be true offer?.

Not going to try as I say as I did say that was only a thought. But trying online shopping, if they have pulled the item off the shelf in the store that deals with the online shopping then the system will still likely show the item as available and therefor sell the item and give the points. So if it's then not delivered then would we still get the points plus a refund for the undelivered item I wander?.

Many people have benefited from the offer, therefore tesco withdrawing the £1 CD's isnt deceptive on their part. And even if it was a blatanat attempt just to get you into store so that you buy something else, DONT buy anything else, no one is holding a gun to your head.

Stick to the rules, limits etc we will be fine, start pulling stupid stunts and there will eventually be no more points offers.

There have been many horror stories.

Where is the stupid stunt? as said it was only a thought. As was the thought that it MAY have been a stunt on there side to get customers through the door. To suggest that I in posting a thought and clearly said that's all it was and not going to do it to have you say it would result in no more point offer is being a bit over sensative I feel. Why not direct your attention to the 12 £1 cd+ buyers if you feel that sensative about protecting the Tesco point offers?

Anyways guess it's been pulled off the grocery section online as cant find it anywere. Some decent £3 in the offer in store I might get weekend.

Went to Bursledon tonight and they had 50+ of FL on the shelves.

I bought 8 and as I was taking them to the car a woman screeched up and parked her car with her back wheels on the kerb and sprinted in.

When I went back in the shelf was cleared of FL, it may have been staff clearing but I have my suspicions about the crazy woman.

So young lady, if it was you at 10.50pm learn to park your car properly! :D

Tesco don't run a bulk buying policy any more! Well most stores don't now anyway.

I've bought 150 of the forever love CD's over the past 24 hours and before anyone lambasts me for not leaving any for others, I've been into the store many times, asked for them to look in the back and bought some on each visit. Anyone could have done the same, and as of 9pm tonight the store still had over 100 in stock and I have no intention of buying any more.

My opinion for what its worth is that Tesco is using us as his refuse collection service again. This CD was a valentine special that sold very poorly and the stock was earmarked to go back for disposal (so I'm told). I wonder how much Mr T would have to pay to have thousands and thousands of boxes of CD's (non recyclable waste) landfilled? Far cheaper to offer the 'proles' an incentive to do his dirty work for him. Just my opinion of course, but does anyone remember the 1p lightbulbs a couple of years ago that everyone thought was a 'glitch'?

Tesco have been very quick lately at correcting errors and the fact this is still working makes me suspicious. IF its still working tomorrow, I'd be pretty much convinced this is no glitch.

Thoughts are seeds that to some will grow into real actions. Its always a good idea not to put questionable ideas on a forum as there are always a few who will consider it to be a good idea and may even try it and could potentially land themselves in hot water ie criminal presecution.

Those who buy 12+ CD's or phones or whatever the offer may be at the time, do so at their own fiancial risk, we all know that tesco can be a bit up and down regarding their T&C's. The worst that can happen to them is they end up with their points being removed and having a massive stash of useless CD's but that is their money to risk. Then if they feel they have been wronged its up to the individual to argue the case with tesco.

I dont care what tesco's intentions are, i just dont want anyone trying anything that could get them into serious trouble. There will always be 1 that may try it.

As previous posters have said tesco arent daft and they do read these forums, so yes points offers could stop, it is a possibility but they will only remain if everyone sticks to the rules. Once they pick up on the fact that something dogy might be happening as was the case with coupons - it will stop.

Not necessarily. you would in fact be giving them money for no product. Tesco are not stupid you know. They havent made their millions by "mistakenly" giving us these "profitable" offers. it wouldnt surprise me if tesco paid 1p for those cd's, so are in fact making a massive profit out of us, not the other way round. Their fat cats probably chuckle to themselves all day at us spending all the money we do in there thinking we're robbing them blind.
Anyway, all i care about right now is whether my local tesco are going to have any of these c'ds left tomorrow! i shall certainly be milking this as i have the others (as far as my capital will allow) and will feel no guilt towards the poor billionaires that run tesco :rotfl:

So you've just gone and got £1500 of vouchers. I hope to god you get them all taken off you. I don't care what you say about more in the back, you're just being greedy. How childish. Always some that ruin it for the rest.
  • I think my jaw has just dropped to the floor at one of the redemption offers £150 of forever love vouchers gets you. No wonder you bought that many, christ.
