Our planning not going so well, we went to book our entertainment and both parties flaked out Emailing alternatives as we speak, hope to have something sorted soon. Went shopping for bridesmaid dresses saw some lovely ones but they are American, and extremely pricey in the UK. Hoping to order online from a US shop - it's risky I know. I have factored in extra time and all the duties. The dresses are so nice I think it's worth the risk.

Wedding invites are also underway. It's hard to find the wording for them. Good luck with your suits Jenny, as I have left that to OH nothing has been done! He is a workaholic...

Hi all. Ok we are so far behind its unreal. So far all we have is church, marquee, my dress and hopefully by end of week bridesmaid dresses. We have meetings with different photographers thurs,fri,sat n then two more next week. We are waiting for the band OH wants to find out if they are free that day. 2 check that the hog roast man can do that day. still so much to do as it is in a marquee we also seem more than normal 2 sort out. Can someone please give me a massive kick up the bum an more hours in the day.

Donsmummy, don't worry - you have plenty of time. All I have done is order my dress. Lots of talks with venues/photographers etc, but no real decisions made, and no other money spent! I have contacted a lot of suppliers that are already booked up, but I think that everything happens for a reason and that I will find other people to do my hair/makeup/dj etc.

But then I haven't got any dreams that I absolutely HAVE to fulfill so I'm relaxed and think that as long as I'm married by the end of the day, that's all that matters

Don't worry Donsmummy, we are in a similar position. I'm also rushing a little bit because I am going to be studying abroad for all of April and May, so it won't be possible to do any planning from there. (Or at least without very expensive phone bills )

Thank goodness its not just us, everytime we get into planning something happens like our house flooding. We are getting there slowly, its when people ask how come they haven't had a invitation yet or suppliers saying we have left it late that i start to panic.

Just got a call from the wedding shop to say that my dress had arrived and so I am going to visit the shop on Saturday to try it on. So excited :j

Picked my wedding dress up on Saturday and brought it home with me. I now need to find a seamstress to alter it as need length taken up so I don't trip over and a bit taken in at the bust but otherwise it fits perfectly. I tried it on in the shop with my shoes, tiara and veil and I love it!! Can't wait to wear it for real now :j

Plans ticking along nicely.... just posted the invites out. Our DJ has rung to confirm our booking as we booked him last year. So back to ceremony detail for now. then just need to make menu choice list for when invites roll back in. Things are going all to well..... i keep waiting for something to go wrong! lol
W2b had couple of contractions at weekend..... she used to say she cant remember how it was with her other 2 kids but them contractions brought back all her memories!! lol only 4 1/2 week to go... its all getting exciting now!

Hello, can I join in? We got engaged on 5th March and are getting married on Sat 6th August. It's a bit of a rush so haven't really planned much. So far have booked the reception and the church and that's it. Ever so slightly panicking!

The reception is at a Hilton Hotel, 3 course meal for 50 guests and an evening reception with a DJ for 100. So that's pretty much sorted.

I went looking at wedding dresses yesterday but the one I really liked was £690 and I only want to spend £500 max. Apparently it's a bit short notice to get a dress ordered and altered in time. I haven't even thought about table decorations yet.

Am I going to get it all organised in time?
