Another August 27th bride chiming in here.
Have finally got a proper start on my wedding plans this week. Have got the bridesmaid dresses sorted, but am struggling to find some budget shoes for them. Am looking for silver kitten/mid heel shoes for them. Anyone know of any budget shoe websites at all?January Grocery Challenge 2016 = £119.41/£250.00

Hi Ladies,
Hope you all well and the planning is coming together, not long to go really.
I have done most thing but still a few big things to do -
Cake stand
Pay remainder of reception room
Pay for food
Pay for cake
Pay for car
Flower girl flowers / wands
And that it we have everything else:T
One thing that concerns me is my dress, i fits great apart from the breast area, i have lots a bit of weight and the main of the weight has come off my small boobs.
I have bought a strapless gel wonderbra (£30.00:eek:) but still concerned.
Hope to catch up again soon xx
oh and one more thing when should i be giving out my invitations??
Well providing all goes to plan, I hope to get my invites out in the next couple of weeks. It may seem early, but what with it being an August wedding, people are usually on holiday at that time, and are as we speak, already probably thinking about summer holidays.January Grocery Challenge 2016 = £119.41/£250.00

Not budget websites as such but if you keep your eyes out in the sales sections of shops like BHS, Debenhams, New look you often find decent bargains there!!0 -
This weekend we bought our wedding rings and a suit for OH and ties for OH, best man, ushers and the two dads so that they are all matching.
I just need to query a few things with our reception venue about the menus and then I can get on and finalise the invitations, menu cards, rsvps etc which I think I am going to get from Vistaprint.
Hope everyone elses planning is going well!0 -
Ahh planning is going well... one Rev. needs to meet the other Rev. to sort out the wedding blessing. One Rev. is doing the blessing and we are using the other Rev.'s church (just to keep things simple :rotfl:) Hope that meeting goes well! They both seem to be very relaxed and lovely people so hopefully it will be all good.
OH is a designer just hassling him to get the bl00dy invites done! Waiting for one last entertainment quote to come in and we are almost ready to book. Next weekend getting the rings. Yay! More jewellery!
Bridesmaid shopping mission is arranged for 7th March. Getting there slowly....:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Hi everyone, I'm new too. Getting married on Sun 28th August, as that's 10 years to the day we got together. Still haven't got a dress! My mission by the end of this month (hang on it's the 25th today!!) is to get the invitations done. My Dad's printing them for me, but I don't really have any ideas. He made some for someone else with a photo of the couple of the front. I'm not sure about this, what does anyone else think? Also, are you all putting a slip in the invitations to detail location, parking, directions, local hotels, gift list etc? x0

Hi to all the newbies
Bargin seeker, with the buffet being help yourself surely you can leave it late to send invites out? however i wouldn't leave to late to let people know as with it being August some people are likely to book holidays.
I haven't really thought to much about order of service?!! must make a start this weekend. I need to start thinking about my speech as well.
We've got lots sorted but it feels like there is so much more to sort the detail on..... PANIC! lolWedding day is 26th Aug 2011 and counting!

We are doing this as well and, ours as well seem like lovely people, but it will be great when it's all sorted out!
Other plans going well so far, met with the florist last week so most of that is sorted. Slight hitch in that the company we were going to get our suit hire from have just stopped hiring out so there's only one option in our county so time to get our !!! into gear I think to book our suits there!0
