  • So I went shopping for my dress today and.....came home with one!!!! :D:D:D
AND in brilliant mse style it was a sample so half price! I'm super lucky as it's in great condition, tis about a size too big but a friends mum is a seamstress and will alter it for me closer to the date. So excited!!! I tried on quite a few but loved the first one the most and kept comparing them all to that so ended up buying the first one! :D:D:D

Jennings - Yay great news - you have your dress :j

I am hoping to look at wedding cars this weekend with a view to booking a car and then next on the list is to find a florist! Seems like so much still left to do! How is everyone else getting on with their plans?
  • Hi to all the newbie's that have joined us of late.
Well done Jennyiow, my w2b did the same and saved about £450 on buying a sample dress.
Bargin seeker, regards the invites, we just browsed the next to compare a few prices which were similar/cheaper than at a wedding fayre. My w2b found so print your own type in a sale last year (m&s) With the aid of my PC we were able to produce a nice simple invite without looking cheap but being cheap.
They are gold colour with small heart on front with decorative thread passing though it to either side. Down the spine there was gold elastic so that once you'd designed and printed them off your invite information you just slip it under the elastic to hold in place. For the info we just copied examples off the net added a water mark image to tie it all in.... job done.... lol
Wedding day is 26th Aug 2011 and counting!

Bargainseeker - I am getting married on 27 Aug and plan on sending them in march and asking for replies by end of May. I am going to use vistaprint for my invites, I got my save the date cards from there and was really pleased with them.
  • primmer - thanks for that i have not found my invites yet so better move that up the list lol but have heard lots of good things about vista prints and they are so affordable. hope your planning goes well x

  • Bargin seeker- Ye the excitment is building, but in the back ground! i'm currently on with decorating the nursery for the new addition.... 12 weeks to go!
As for the invites our 3 month dead line is 26th May so i'll prob send out 6 weeks before (give how good the royal mail is at the moment lol) that way it gives ppl plenty of time to get them back to me.

had a chat with friend last night thats doing the cake, chocolate, plain and carrot yum!
we just need to decide on what to put on top? flowers, figures/people or my suggestion, pandora box with wedding rings inside (long story but the pandora theme was how i proposed to her) if you want the long version you'll have to ask lol
