  • Haha yes yes I am!! It's soooo depressing, my pay was rubbish this month which really doesn't help. Looking forward to see you x
  • Further spends this week:

    £1 on hot cross buns
    £1.74 on migraine pills
£2 on lunch when I was at my interview
£5 on breakfast this morning after housewarming last night
£3.50 on pizza last night (2 for tuesday!)
99p on a ringtone (this is the worst one of all!)
  • Spends:

    Saturday
£3.10 for bus back from walk-in centre
£5 on lasagne for my dinner (I had cupasoups etc with me but as I felt so ill I fancied something more filling), orange juice, chocolate mousse, chocolate, lemonade for the rose I took with me, paracetamol and ibruprofen

    Over the weekend:
approx £1.60 on drinks at work

I think that is it??? Can't really remember. I passed my exams luckily, now I just need to do my final assignment for my current ou course before I go on holiday!

    Interview????

If that's ALL you've spent its not too bad, don't beat yourself up, but recognise what the danger points are that make you spend on nothing. As matymoo says 'never go shopping when hungry'. To which I'd add, 'don't go shopping when depressed about how much you've spent!'

  • The interview was for promotion at work but I didn't get it :-( I've spent all my 'spare' cash too so I'm pretty much at nothing now!! I did however go food shopping with MrS last night and sneakily took home the remainder of the salad etc so I've got that for lunch for a couple of days!
  • Spends this week:

Wednesday we had a bbq at home so 1.98 on 16 sausages (8 of which we have left for another one!), 2.99 on wine, 60p on lemonade, £1 on more chocolate, and I can't remember what else but it came to £10.55... I did use £5 off my nectar card so it only cost £5.55.

I also spent £1 on some birthday cards from card factory and £2.97 on a grow bag and strawberry plant to try and grow some things in the garden. 46p on a stamp to send birthday card.

I had £5 left in my purse and £5 on my o2 card so didn't overspend. Think I've got 13p left on O2 card and 3p in my purse! MrS owes me £15 but I'm going to try and live without it this week although I've got nothing left to spend til payday and £5 of that he put on my oyster card when we went into London yesterday.

Just realised I've also bought a 3 month prescription certificate for £29.10 but that will save me money over 3 months especially as I've already had 2 prescriptions on it. I did pay for the prescriptions but can claim the money back when I have received my certificate. I had to take it out of my car fund (had no choice as desperately needed to fill them) but I'll replace it when I get paid.
  • Ok now trying to remember what I've spent again this week:

    £7.60 on reheeling shoes
£25 on a wax (this is shocking I know, but I can't do it myself! plus MrS pays for some of it)
£3.15 on cucumber and strawberries to take to work for lunch
    £1.99 on 8 razors
£31 on shorts, trousers and vest top from new look for holiday (MrS paid, I have to pay him back when I can)

On the plus side I have found £5 on the floor at work! I also ordered a few things from republic but luckily none of them fit so they will all be going back again. It's left me feeling a bit depressed and fat though as my usual size was too small.
  • After finishing work late last night, I decided to bite the bullet and thoroughly update my snowball.... I had spent more on my almost cleared cc than I realised. I now owe over £8100 but that does include 500 to MrS which I knew would happen.... so back on the wagon I try to clamber.

I have come up with an idea for evening in with friends: we all pay £5 each and this pays for some sort of dinner, and wine, maybe a film or something too. This way I still get the socialising aspect of an evening but it's cheaper and more fun than going to the pub. Our houseparty was fab and I really enjoyed having our friends over. Hopefully this idea will work and stop me wanting to go out... we went out for my birthday when I got back from holiday and it was ok but nothing special. Somehow though I feel like I'm missing out if I don't go out!!

Holiday was amazing, although I've come back with a stinking cold which isn't fair!!

    Spends:

    £4.99 on pharmacy things
    50p on natural yoghurt
1.79 on a bottle of beer for MrS
    £1 on sunflower seeds
£5 towards my girly night in with friends tonight (fajitas and dvd)
£6 odd in Lidl on milk, fabric conditioner, washing up liquid, toilet block, squash

As usual, overspent BUT the pharmacy and natural yoghurt were a must.... I also joined the gym yesterday, which yes I know the gym isn't a priority, but I'm hoping this will help me feel happier and get back in control of myself.
