    mine, Carnation, is 397g

haven't seen the small ones for years

I don't think they do the small ones any more either, although there are tube type containers (think fat tube of toothpaste) now which I think are slightly smaller.

1sttimer, what have you started! I should be making ds's birthday cake this afternoon but I think he might just get a bag of tablet instead! :D

good thing you asked, imagine if you'd tipped a whole one of those in, not sure it would have turned out to be tablet, but I bet it would've tasted great just the same :D

I think a teacup is 6 fluid ounces

I'll go & check & report back ... if no-one else does first

EDIT ... yep, around 6-6 1/2 fluid ounces/just over175 ml (I hope that's right, not very good at metric :o) it shouldn't be critical if it's a little bit out one way or the other, teacups do vary in size
right, have just checked my Dundee Homecraft Book (first published 1935) for the recipe I use & it's the same as jasmine's (but with 2 tsp vanilla essence)

anyway, it specifies 5 fluid ounces of milk & I know that amount works well

I have made a batch of tablet fudge to gift to peops over Christmas. I have cubed it and bagged it. Please can someone advise whether this is best kept in the fridge or elsewhere???;)
    Thanks
  • Keep cool - no need to refridgerate.
Making some for my big brother at thew moment - he likes his with a quarter muscovado sugar!
  • As far out of sight as possible, if you want it to last over Christmas. My batch evaporated, and the family recon the tooth fairy was munching it ;)

  • I am fundraising at a tabletop sale tomorrow and need a recipe for tablet which is firm, not fudge-y, and tastes wonderful! Hope this is the right forum for this request.
