    Hi everyone,
I had a queasy stomach over Easter so ate much less than normal. When I weighed in yesterday for the first time this month I´d lost 1.7lb so that´s a good start to April.
I bought a lovely pencil skirt this weekend that is just a bit too tight so I want to slim into it. I can do it up but can hardly breathe so my aim is for it to fit comfortably by May.
    How was the wedding Tara747?
    Have a good day everyone!

    lol thanks tara!

Well done on your loss so far CG! a stone in a month is an amazing loss!
  • Ok - I signed up for this challenge in both January and February. In January I lost the grand total of 1lb :o. By February I had given up and have weighed myself today and found that I have gained a further 7 lbs.

I know what I need to do, get up of my !!!! and eat the right types of food but eating is almost a compulsion with me and I know that when I put the food in my mouth. It's like there is an angel and a devil on my shoulder, one saying stop and the other saying go on, have it, you know it will be delicious!

I don't comfort eat, I just love food and overeat. Why have one when there is a whole packet there?!

So shall I sign up again and hope that this thread will give me motivation?

I was really adherant until Easter monday when I had a hunger that seemed impossible to satisfy. In the cool light of today I can see it was a stress thing...but hey ho.

I'm actually finding the metformin is making things harder...I'm getting the shakes really badly at around lunch time...I hope that settles down soon!

Anyway, I felt I neded jazzing up and remotivating so I'm going to do ''the doctors diet'' for a fortnight....its not about following a fad, its about feeling motivated for me, and jazzing things up. and satisfying a grapefruit craving!! Also about trying to help my sugar levels. The only thing is its quite a lot of food, for me, anyway. And the larger meal is in the evening. But never mind, I'm giving it a go :)

Congrats to everyone who managed to stay on track over Easter. I'm sorry to say that I daren't weigh in as I have eaten no "real" food for 4 days, and also drunk my own weight in alcohol. Unfortunately the next month is somewhat socially heavy so I have to develop a coping strategy for that. I am determined that next weekend will not be so bad, I am going out on Saturday but not Friday, and I hope not to be as hungover this time. I am back on track now though, and going for a run tonight so hopefully next Saturday I'll see the scale go down.

    Thanks

    Katrina

Its so hard for me to find these threads every time :) The titles are just TOO clever

Right, put me down. I started on a months worth of Weight to Go meal plans 5 days ago - lost nearly 3 lb since then :) Im now down from just under 15 stone to 12 stone 2 lbs - woo hoo. Another 18 lbs and thats it for me, optimum weight - just make sure I stay there this time, cant take another year of dieting. :)

BMI is now 28.2 - from 35. For all newbies, dont be too obsessed with the bmi calculators if I was on the line they say is best Id be a size 8 and looking like a skeleton. I know that because I was above that line 5 years ago and spent my life telling people I really wasnt ill. I know when I look healthy weight and its about 7 lbs more than the max weight the charts say.

Okay I'm back from being away and I am back tracking my food! So here's hoping for a good April all round.

Welcome to Marie2, newbeginning, Leothecat, macca, Purple roses, lizzie dripping and hethmar, well done to the losers and to those that have gained - Easter is out of the way now so all the tempting food should be gone and you can get back to it! Best of luck to us all (and I am now heading off to update the spreadsheet and the opening post!)

Day one of he doctor's diet is over for me.

FwIW, I have got through ALL the food, and weirdly, am really a little hungry (was stuffed after each meal though). I love, love, love grapefruit, so eating a grapefruit and a half is heaven for me, but I don't understand how I can eat so much and still be hungry: its more than I'd usually eat in volume.!

In anycase, I feel fine, I didn't have the horrible sugar shakes at lunch time, and its been nice having stuff I would never usually have midweek, like chicken. Sometimes ringing the changes is all you really need I think.
