I can't stand tomatos either Tara not raw anyway but love them in things!
A sticky is a great idea,
If we're doing office friendly I suppose it should be things that don't need to be kept in the fridge?

Ryvita seeded ones are really nice with a bit of marmite spread on. You could make a soupy drink from the Marmite too.

Small tubs of chicken paste are good too for keeping in the desk incase the munchies strike! Although not sure on the cals though?

What about some options type chocolate drinks to help wean you off, or a small ration of dark chocolate.

I used to keep bags of pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in my desk to munch on too, they're not very low cal but I found I didn't eat many in one hit.

Do you like cous cous? If so you can make a mix of dried herbs, spices, a little salt and anything else dry you might like such as sesame seeds, dried mushrooms etc. That can be kept in the desk and just add boiling water, leave for a while until the cous cous is soft. Add a little water at a time so you don't end up with a slosh.

You can keep lemon juice (I did) and balsamic vinegar in your desk for adding to salads as I found most supermarket salads come with a high cal dressing so if you do buy out you can use your own.

Actually especially when I was pregnant my desk was stuffed with food!

We do have a fridge at work but it is quite full a lot of the time.

Thanks for all the tips, yes couscous is good as it only needs hot water poured over it. I must make up a mix like you suggest.

I will investigate the dark chocolate as I can only eat a very tiny amount of it at a time (it's not as nice though, but my mum prefers it and says that you end losing the taste for milk choc as it just tastes too sweet!).

I keep olive oil and balsalmic vinegar in my desk drawer too lol! I like my lunches to be fresh, I bring sandwich ingredients to work and make them there, rather than making them at home.

Hi macca, welcome and well done on your progress so far!!! :T

I have sat down and worked out my goals for the next few months. I have a wedding tomorrow which I would like to lose 7lbs for :rotfl: Also my next trip away is at the end of May followed by a couple more weddings (one in Italy!) and another trip in July, then another wedding in August (!) and my Big Holiday in September. I am going for the following targets:

    1 April (current): 135.7lbs
    24 May: 128lbs
    14 June: 125lbs
    12 July: 123lbs
    23 August: 120lbs
    13 September: 119lbs

These are the Mondays closest to some of the weddings and trips. It looks so doable, doesn't it! And now that I've put it black and white I am going to shame myself into achieving it. I'm inspired by vicki who is close to my weight but has actually managed to shift some (unlike yoyo girl here).

I forgot to WI this morning, oops. Will do it tomorrow. Really hoping for a morale-boosting loss, even 1lb would be a start!!

    Yay! Go Tara!
Not sure about the wedding tomorrow but I'm sure you will achieve your other targets. Nothing like a looming event to motivate you! My motivation is the first bikini holiday in 3 years on May, OMG that's actually next month!
Putting it down in writing is great, now you have to do it lol!

I do love raw toms, it's just that if I'm eating cherry/baby plum ones I have to cut them in half, can't bear the exploding tomato sensation in my mouth! (I am weird!)

Well done vicster, that's amazing!!!! :T:T

Purpleroses - sure, you are welcome here anytime! Once you've joined you're a member for life mwahahahaha. :D

vicki, you will be fine on hols, you've done so well already. You are my main inspiration for this challenge atm, since we are similar weights and you are doing so much better than me. Have you bought your bikini yet? I do feel better and more motivated for having written it down. :A

I have been trying on my dress, it's a no-no for tomorrow. It zips up but it's far too tight. I'm going for my second choice (slightly more forgiving) which OH says he prefers! So that's him happy anyway. Need to figure out new shoe/jewellery/accessory combo tomorrow morning eek!

    Night night all xo

Yes Tara, I've got a couple of new bikinis. I do fit into my old ones but I found that I need a little more support in the boob department after having Dylan lol!
I actually look better in a bikini than a swimming costume even when I was bigger, I just find a one piece so unflattering.
I'm pretty happy with my beach bod, it's not "perfect" but nobody's going to say "eeeer look at her!" which was the main thing. Just need to tone my tum up a bit but I can always suck it in hehehe.

    Hi all,

Tara, glad to see you have a plan and seem to be much more positive about things. You can do it-we all can!

Not a good week for me though I'm afraid. Hubby's had a week off with me and we've had family days out with our little one and our 13 yr old nephew who's also staying with us at the mo. I haven't gone mad, but we have had meals out, the odd piece of Easter chocolate etc-just not condusive to weight loss unfortunately!! Consequently I've gained 2lbs back this week. I'm not disheartened though-it could have been alot worse, and it's still a stone's loss in the last month. I'll just get straight back to it this week and go for it again. On the plus side, hubby treated me to a wii fit, which I'm loving, so that should help too! :D

Well done to those who are losing and chin up to those (like me!) who haven't been! :o
