I think chocolate eggs are probably the worst kind of chocolate for trying to restrain yourself. The lack of separate pieces means you just keep breaking off little bits until you suddenly realise how much has gone :o

    That's exactly it! :rotfl:
  • Well here's first proper post :)

I restarted after a couple of failed attempts so far this year but since Jan overall I've lost 3.5lbs - I've got 26.5lbs to lose and set myself a goal of October 1st

fingers crossed and good luck to everyone who's battling the bulge :)

    hello everyone,
i would like to join in this challenge please, i have lost 3lbs in MArch so would like to improve on that. Trying to be good particularly in work where the temptations of the coffe shop, the canteen and the vending machines are just sometimes too much!

Ive had a really good week weight loss wise, Ive lost 4lbs this week!!!!

However, i was ill with a sickness bug midweek so expect some of this to come back on but i was happy as the scales showed me as being under 11st for the first time in years - very chuffed with myself

Thanks for all the kind words girls, OH and I have made up but we've been arguing quite a bit lately, so it's been getting to me.
Am I too late to join? I've briefly read through and it seems you're each doing different methods of weight-loss, am I right?

I have my own "plan" in mind which I'm starting today, but it would be good to have someone to report to :) ie. you guys....

If I'm too late I'll sling mi hook 'til May's challenge :D

    cheers

Welcome to the thread electric_comperella! Which plan have you devised? Any tips are always gratefully received!!

Well done on the losses. WI day for me tomorrow, dreading it as usual.

I agree about the Easter eggs!!

MarzipanFish, thanks for the tip re audiobooks, must download some to my iPod.

poppy_f1, sts is better than gaining - keep at it xo

I had my WI this morning, was so shocked at the number (in a bad way). I am defo going to WI again tomorrow and might make Tuesday my permanent WI day as I am always a few lbs lighter on a Tuesday.

Anyway, am in two minds about whether to post today's weight or not.

  • Good morning all!!

Well, I fell well and truly off the dieting wagon at the weekend and hit the ground with a big hefty THUMP!! ;)

I'm not too disheartened though, OH was off on hols so we made the most of the good weather and got out and did some touristy stuff (as well as hitting the beer gardens late Saturday afternoon!) - the sun's got me motivated to get started all over again - I'm going to set up the Wii and take my official starting weight today, then I'm off out to start a new running regime!

Tara Big hugs to you my lovely! I'm sure it's just a blip with OH, we go through wee phases like that too, then give it a fortnight and we're best of friends again! And don't be ashamed of your weight, today's a brand new shiney day and time to get started again!! :D

Jack/Helen Well done on 2 great losses!! :j:beer::T

Poppy an STS is not to be sneezed at - much better than a gain, and I'm sure you'll get double the loss next week by the time your body catches up with itself!

 Alfie and Electric I've just joined in too - good luck for the rest of the month!!

    Happy slimming everyone!

    xx

Thanks CWM, that is very kind of you. :A Glad you've rediscovered your motivation!

OK, my weight today is 138.9lbs, which is 2.9lbs heavier than last Tuesday and probably the heaviest I've ever been. :( The thing is, I don't feel any heavier, but there it is, on the scales. I'm going to WI again tomorrow, Monday is usually my heaviest day for some reason (water retention from the weekend?). Anyway, will have a sulk and then get on with it.

Have a good day everyone xo

Hi all, this is my first post this month as I have been away. I'm here with the pathetic excuse that the battery on my scales has run out so haven't been able to weigh! Will buy a new battery today, it won't be good news though as my clothes all feel really tight - you reap what you sow, I guess...
Hope everyone is having a good start to the week xx
