Some days don't feel like I have much strength but know that tomorrow is another day and I will have days that aren't too good and some days that make me feel that I am living my life again instead of the nightmare that it was before.
The wedding ring/engagement rings have come off leaving a nice dent in my finger but its a step forward in the right direction could be the rebellious side of my nature!?!?

So far nearly 3 days without any contact from Hubby. Starting to feel much better and have started to feel like 'me' again. Even have started laughing OMG !!
Going out tonight with my friend for a cheapo night for a meal two for £8 and they are quite decent meals. This will come out of my budget for food tho'.
I have joined up with the grocery challenge and any surplus money I will then add to my debt pot....
One question for everyone???? Because I have taken a 3 months payment break on my mortgage which in effect has (will) save me £1500 should I use this to pay off say my A&L overdraft ? (I also have a loan with them which they would carry on taking out of my account possibly?) or should I use this money to clear off my barclaycard....or use it as an emergency fund??? :money:
The electrics are in the process of being done as I type. No real issues there apart from need a new ceiling light as the transformer has gone due to the water leakage. Only trouble is B&Q don't do them anymore.... Have told him to put it back up so at least have one ceiling light working but don't know what else to do??? Wouldn't care but I didnt want them changing in the first place..Hubby insisted that we have new lights with matching standard lamp and table lamp....grrrrr !! The standard lamp bit the dust and had to be returned twice and couldn't get a replacement. Bit of a pattern going on here !!

Spends last night was £4.50 for the meal which was a lovely meat platter with salad and pickles and a bread roll. Ws quite yummy!
My friend treated me to a desert which was £3.95 and also bought the drinks too so v. cheap night out and one where I could spend time just catching up with my friend and laughing at nothing in particular!
Still need some ideas as to whether I should save the money from not paying my mortgage for emergencies/divorce or clear one of the debts ie Barclaycard?Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

I think i would get rid of barclaycard depending on what the APR is, I know mine is 24.9%!!! which is crazy, I hate them too so Im probably a bit biased. At least you'd be free of one of your debts then.

I haven't read the rest of the thread, sorry will do in sec but the general rule is pay off the highest interest rates first BUT I think if you have an overdraft that should be paid off first cos isn't it the only debt a bank can immediately stop giving you? and just use say your wages to pay it off essentially taking your money? I think that is right hopefully someone with more of a clue will be a long soon!

Shoegal is right - you are amazing Burntfingers xxxx Wow
I would keep the money as an emergency fund given the upcoming divorce.
You really are a brilliant inspiration
