    hiya folks

Kinda lost the plot after that...lol have paperwork all over the place as some of it I deal with at work and just need to get it all organised and in one place although have written to all creditors requesting up-to-date balances.

So the past few days have been hectic due to workload and then at home catching up on surveys, grocery shopping online and informing everyone that I had changed addresses etc. Plus searching for car insurance which I managed to get for £239 fully comp with protected no claims discount, plus got £10 cash back too :) but  they have taken out £47.00 out of my bank and the policy doesn't start until the middle of next month !!!!

The weekend was pretty uneventful in so much so that I can't remember as to what we did, apart from the shopping from Al*is and getting loads of groceries for £54. Apart from this I didn't spend any money over the weekend.

Although we went for a bike ride on Sunday over the Yorkshire Dales so that was really exciting, thrilling and magnificent scenery to boot :) although a telephone call from my dad saying that his car is going to cost £160 for repairs

Monday was a day of my boss congratulating me on the 3 months extension on my funding although spent £10.40 on parking (which I can claim back) I resisted the urge to go to Greggs for a sarnie and made do with the tin of spaghetti lurking in my filing cabinet instead at lunchtime. Not very thrilling but it filled a hole. Withdrew £200 from cash machine to pay my dad for the car, then as it was his birthday gave him £15, £5 went for surprise baby fund collection and £20 went for DS driving lesson

Tuesday went to see my parents am still rather worried about my dad as his legs and ankles are not going down and he is still very breathless and is really tired all of the time. The doctors are now querying his medication and say that it may need adjusting even further so everything is very much trial and error.

Gave my dad the money for the repair bill and he said that the garage hadn't got back to him yet, so I should keep the money until he had had it done, was tempted but as I had taken it out of the bank then left it with him.
    Tuesday NSD.

Wednesday my best friend passed her driving test and so did DS :j:j both of them were so desperate to pass so was chuffed to little mint balls for them :T, bonus too as DD came home to pick up her little bruv so got to see her for a short time too, so DS has now gone to spend a few days with his dad and his girlfriend too. :T Wednesday NSD day
    NSD for me again today.

Thursday - grocery delivery tonight which is already paid for. So apart from that it will be a NSD. Have my friend AM coming around tonight as OH is on lates, so can have a cuppa and a catch up and see how she is doing with the gastric band etc.

Friday night I have a nice romantic meal planned (that's if everything gets delivered on the list!!) OH asked what was the occasion (sp) - so I said 'just because'......:kisses2::smileyhea

  • :rotfl:!!!!!! has got his divorce papers slapped on him :j and has done everything that I wanted/expected him to i.e. gone running to his solicitor who fired an email back to mine, complaining basically that they didn't get to see the divorce petition before it was filed at court and that I have not confirmed that I will not be pursuing him for the costs......of course I am claiming costs :) its costs me nearly £1200 so far all because of him been greedy and trying to get his little grubby hands on my house

!!!!!! has an appointment to see his solicitor next week whereby they have stated that they will be filing a response to the petition after they have spoken to their client. But as that will cost him more money then I am not expecting much of a response, which ever way he plays it. At least I have proof that he has received the paperwork now and the even if he doesn't return it back to the court the divorce can progress. :T

Hope the meal went well on Friday ;)
All the best for your Dad hope they manage to get his meds sorted soon (it's not uncommon to take a few months to get it right!)

Hurrah for the divorce progressing, hope barstward is infested with the fleas of a thousand camels in his unmentionables!:D:D

  • The meal went really well on Friday well until it got to desert....made pots au chocolate....when I took them out of the fridge and place them on the table OH 'said ooohhh chocolate Angel Delight.... think the look on my face said it all as he took a taste and then said 'its defo not !! :rotfl: we had a really enjoyable evening although have to say it has now become the joke of the year....and even my mum and dad took the proverbial out of him :)

On Saturday was another NSD as we went out for a ride on the bike with a couple of my friends and went to a cafe for a coffee and a chat with them.

Sunday was another NSD as we had my mum and dad over for lunch which was really nice as don't get to see them that much and its the least that I can do for them.

Monday left my purse at home so had to go to OH's office and collect some money from him so that I could get my car out of the car park....found out that the lottery will not fund my project :( so headed off to Greggs and bought a sarnie and a cake :o feel really disheartened with it all.

Tuesday was also a NSD. Feeling pretty low at the moment and finding it hard to keep motivated.:( DS came home from his dad's in a foul mood, he has been driving down there for the week and has had to come back to reality and no car....dad has told him that he will buy him a car in August although he is moaning that is ages off yet !!

Last night we just had to go shopping to Mr A's was a shocker as it was £88....know bought a few extra's but still.... OH and I are going away for the long weekend to Scotland so making sure that DS has plenty of food to eat, his G/f is coming up for the weekend and he is talking about going back down with her on the Sunday for a week as he is bored up here !! Shame he couldn't have mentioned it before I went and shopped so much for him and the g/f....

Not heard any response from !!!!!! so I am going to day to apply for the divorce as I have proof that he has received the petition so will have to stump up £45 for that and just go ahead as if the case is undefended. Another step nearer to freedom...:T

Dad has finally got his benefits sorted out and is now entitled to Pension Credit Guarantee...he received the payments backdated so got £598 yesterday and then he will receive a further £600+ on the 30th...then weekly he will get £177.00 apparently they will be entitled to free health costs and also council tax benefits :T

I know that they have both been worried about having no income coming in although its still trial and error with his medication although they have said that the water tablets are damaging his kidneys and he has to go back for a further blood tests etc.

Yayyyyyyyy few days off after today :j.....feeling pretty anxious these last few days have a few little niggly issues at the moment with OH around housework and cooking  .....so it will do me/us good to get away from it all...although we are still undecided as to whether we should go on the bike or in the car....the weather is decidedly iffy to say the least....so will decide that later on tonight whilst we are packing....:T

Rant time ......... OH has run out of his blood pressure tablets and has real problems ever getting an appointment with his doctor, he hasn't changed to mine as yet and was 'gonna' a few months ago just hasn't got round to it just yet....he knew he was getting low but never put in an repeat prescription until today, we go away tomorrow.... so tomorrow we have to go 10 miles out of our way to collect his prescription thats if he can arrange one that is....he always leaves things til the last minute and its so annoying :mad:

  • :wave:Hiya folks back to reality with a bang....

Well last week managed to get to the court and file the divorce as being undefended showed the court that I had proof that !!!!!! had received paperwork but had chosen to ignore it. Swore my affidavit and they said that they would put it before the Judge for him to decide if I have enough grounds for divorce etc. Think plenty was there so know its just a process that the divorce has to go through and fingers doubly crossed that it will mean that the next letter that I get from the court is the date that will be when I can apply for the decree nisi. :jUnless sneaky !!!!!! has decided to put a late response in although I did check all the dates when things needed to be actioned and he was way over the time limits.

Thursday evening OH made the executive decision that the weather forecast was too dire to even attempt going on the bike :(...we opted for the car and realised that neither of us had waterproof jackets so we purchased two bargains his was reduced from £90 to £20 and mine was £80 to £20 and both had removable fleeces which we needed at Loch Lomond was a chilly 7.5 and that was between the horrendous rain...

As I had paid for the hotel and also the petrol up to Greenock then OH paid for everything else so I spent around £10 whilst we were up there :)
amazingly though I am absolutely brassic until payday!

Mind you the first full mortgage £498 + £50 off the arrears has just left my account and several other direct debits too. Just hoping that the maintenance goes in soon :o have enough food in just need petrol until payday which is not until the 15th  thankfully have no other DD's going out until after that date.

Tuesday we went for a bike ride over the Yorkshire Dales so that was lovely - a nice end to a great long weekend. NSD too :) OH's brother has rang us and says that he is coming up at the weekend and can he and his son stay with us.....OMG !! hate strangers in my house...

Wednesday back into work, really busy catching up with correspondence etc. NSD.

Thursday not a good day saw one of the Managers who had a meeting with my boss, apparently it didn't go to good and the exact words he said 'was she doesn't have a clue' which sadly :( I have to agree with....makes me feel really upset and end up having a rant at OH  within 5 minutes he was home cos he knows its not like me at all, so after a few tears and several hugs I tell him all about it. We then come to conclusion that I had best start looking for another job...:( NSD.

OH then offers to clean the bathroom and fix the light fitting that was loose so something constructive came out of the earlier rant :)

OH then goes off to see his twin brother and has a catch up with him, which gives me time to calm down and have a chat with another work colleague who totally agrees with me and says that another work colleague is taking them to a tribunal...now that is a surprise NOT !

OH comes home from brothers and says sister has asked us to go to theirs on Sat nignt with older brother for a few drinks. I am a bit miffed as we always seem to have to go to theirs and its always us paying the taxi's plus we have to take our own drink. Really, really don't want to go but will been seen as been miserable if I don't make the effort especially as I haven't met older brother before.

DD has also told me that DS is moving down to the farm at the end of June. Whilst it hasn't surprised me it would have been nice to hear it from him, he has to follow his heart after all and at the moment it is where his g/f is and that is about 110 miles from here....

At the moment I am torn between selling my car which is on finance to settle within the next 24 days is £4014, the balance is currently £4842 and I have 32 months left to run on it. This would save £150.00 per month which means that I can then use this to clear off my debt quicker (assuming that I have a job) I have been on we buy any car and they have offered £5675 which would mean that I have around £1661 for a runaround car. Which should buy me something which is fairly decent with a 12months MOT certificate. My car is due to run out of tax at the end of the month and is due for its first MOT in September and will need 2 new front tyres by then too.....only trouble is OH doesn't seem to be so supportive on my decision...if I do lose my job he will have to cover the payments so it does effect both of us....

:eek::eek: BIG shocker.....!!! My MIL who lives next door has told my OH that they have finally got some money which will allow them to get on their feet and be financially secure so that they are spending the money on getting the house/garden sorted out !!!! This means YAAAYYYYYYY that mine will be more saleable if that is the route that we decide to go down in the future :j:j they have all ready started on the front garden !!!! am sooooooo excited....:T
