  • hi there, great to see you back but so sorry to hear of your troubles! :(

re the doctor's certificate - I am pretty sure they have no right to request this and you are under no obligation to supply it. As LB says, if you poke around on the DFW board there are a few things on there, the question has definitely been asked before. They are so sneaky these people

re the bike kit - yes I absolutely sympathise! :( I am so fussy on my kit because if I feel remotely uncomfy I can't concentrate. It can take time trying on etc but it's well spent - most places will let you things on the bike as well which I always try and do if possible. Sometimes it takes a little while to wear it all in so the more you can wear it the better :) and now the weather is better hopefully you won't need so many layers :rotfl:

hope you are settling back in and everything is going well. One of my friends has moved back into her house that she moved out of in similar circumstances to you. She was a bit apprehensive about it because of memories as you will knonw but she texted me today to say her cats were already much happier back there so this lifted her and she also feels it was the right decision. Hope you will be really happy in your new/old house :j

  • Wednesday night as it was such a lovely evening OH came home, said get your bike gear on we're off out for a ride :)....2 hours later we arrived home he took me to the top of Holmfirth (where last of the summer wine is filmed) you could see for miles...we saw 2 grouse...never even seen any before apart from the ones on a whisky bottle ......but they make a sound like a duck that is running of batteries....:rotfl:

    :j:j

Very, very happy little bunny today as yesterday I found out that I have got a further 3 months extension!!! :) The secondment place have agreed to pay my employer for this in the hope that by the time the end of September comes the lottery bid will have come through and I can then stay for a further 5 years
I provide a service that is very much needed then I am hoping that as the secondment place wants to keep the service so much and so many people have said the same throughout the different departments that they will actually fund me if the lottery bid doesn't come through.

Last night we had a cheapy night out and went to Pizza Hut - 2 courses for £9 although  OMG !! Pizza hut charge £2.10 for a glass of coke.... then we went to the cinema with free tickets and watched Thor....thought it was okay, although wouldn't want to see it again.

I wrote off to the solicitors with regards the doctors letter stating that I had contacted my doctor and had requested the information and that I would send it to them as soon as I had received the relevant information. I read through :money:guide to debt and mental health and it said that it was quite usual for creditors to ask for this information although I can't see how that affects my ability to pay.

!!!!!! is involved in a court case and when I got home from my travels I received a letter stating that the third party had been formally charged and is to appear in court next week. As I am the main witness in the case it has made me feel anxious again...I have had no contact with the police for over 10 months and this is them that is supposed to give me monthly updates  . The letter asked for my up-to-date contact details - although they had my address and never thought to write in all that time.:mad::mad: grrr...wrote back with the relevant information reiterating that I am separated from !!!!!! and that I do not want any of my details passing to him, and neither did I want any contact with him if and when I am called as a witness as the matter will be passed to Crown Court for trial.

brrrrr it feels proper chilly now :(

Hope everyone has a good day :)

  • BF I think I know the very spot, it is one of my very favouritest places in the world for a good think.

I have been up there on the back of a bike and on the front of a bike - and you did well if you coped on the back coming down all those scary bends!!! I hated it! Even riding myself they were scary and I was glad no one was behind me so I could take my time :rotfl:

you are right on the grouse - it's a very funny noise. I believe they get their name from the noise as it sounds like that's what they're saying? if that makes sense?

Fantastic news on the job front - hope you get more very soon!

Really sorry to hear about the court business :( but sounds like you are in a much stronger place now and will cope with it much better. You are right to state that you don't want any contact, I think that is great that you are standing up for yourself against him. Hopefully they will be very sympathetic.

I live on a farm and we have loads of grouse wandering around. They are very noisy things, and my dog tries to chase them all the time.
Hope things are getting better for you, sounds like you have had a tough week.

  • To top of the good news last week I am proud to announce that I have finally done it !!! I went to the court and I FILED FOR DIVORCE.......:j

I spoke to my solicitor previous to going to the court and she confirmed she had received a letter from barstewards solicitor requesting information as to whether I was going to file for divorce as he couldn't afford to  they requested that I send them a copy of the petition before it went to court so that they could agree it beforehand.

I told my solicitor that I had cited his unreasonable behaviour and that I hadn't named his strumpet by name but gave the facts of the domestic violence, the drugs and him telling me about the affair and the date.

I wasn't prepared to send it to my solicitor for her then to send onto his solicitors, for them to return it back to me and ask me to flower it up.
Although my solicitor advised that this was courtesy to do so, but as I am fast running out of money then I told her that I realistically couldn't afford to keep instructing her, hence me completing the divorce petition myself which has saved around £500, I have £156 left on file as I will need this for any telephone support that she gives me in the future.

The court case that I mentioned previously with regards to !!!!!! is nothing to do with the domestic violence...it is something that is a totally separate issue although in a roundabout way it is as he always blamed the anger from that situation. Any how the third party involved is in court tomorrow. I am not sure as to when I will hear the outcome although assume it will be referred to Crown Court in the future.

If the third party is found guilty then !!!!!! is going to put a claim in for compensation and this is where my solicitor will then make a claim against this for his half of the debt which incurred during our relationship and subsequent marriage. :) So some good may come out of a horrible situation even though it may take some time, but as I will be left paying these debts for years to come then I have all the time in the world.

:o On Saturday we had a good clear out of the broken wardrobes, fencing panel/boxes and carpet that had accumulated in the garden ready for the tip. I borrowed my dad's car but as I tried to reverse the trailer it stopped dead and :o:o:o some drain pipe which was stuck out of the trailer caught in the side of the  wheel arch of his car :eek:....OMG....!! and ripped a hole it in.........:( Its a colour coded wheel arch trim too.....on a Kia Sportage....I hated telling my dad especially with all his heart problems too...I have offered to pay for it but my dad knows that the drain pipe was his and knows it was stuck out......he has said that he will take it for an estimate this week.....:(

OH managed to get my sensors for my burgalar alarm working again this weekend......:T I said that I couldn't understand why the alarm hadn't gone off when he opened them as they had an anti tamper mechanism on them.....the alarm went off and I kept pressing all the code in and shouting that I couldn't switch it off. :( .....all the time I am stood in the porch with one hand covering my ears and I can't stop it no matter how many times I punch the code in......:( only to turn around to see OH stood there with the sensor in his hand and saying 'yeah your right they do have an anti tamper switch' so all the time whilst I was in panic mode and couldn't get the alarm off was down to him holding the switch....was down to him  luckily I saw the funny side of it....:)

Need to get my :money:head on - I am still doing my cashback sites and also the surveys are coming along fine.

Although :mad: whilst my internet is back on....BT in their infinate wisdom have not put a splitter on the line, so that if someone is on the internet then the line is engaged and no one can get through. If I unplug the broadband we have a telephone line......reported it by email on Saturday got no response....rang them again on Sunday morning from my mum + dads and they said that it should be fixed by the 12th May ??? Then then text me to tell me that they have fixed the line.....doh !!! they had cut off the broadband and still no telephone. Yet another call later and they are telling OH to unscrew BT box and check the wiring etc. Then they ring back and tell me that the fault is near to the house !?!?!? Have told them that have tried 2 different phones and 3 different filters still nothing....

DS is soooooooo BORED..... dunno what he did before we had internet....:rotfl:

So hopefully will have telephone/broadband sorted out by the time I get home.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable day :)

    Hi BF,

Glad that the divorce is finally getting sorted. You seem to have good things happening with the bad things. Hopefully you will start to have better look.
