    Hiya

Hope the move went well :)
    Enjoy your days off x
  • Hiya Folks

It is just a quick update....to say thanks for all the good luck messages etc...

The move went really well and as it was such a scorchioooooo we were glad that we had moved so much during the week which basically only left us with the furniture to move. All in all we was all moved by 1pm on Friday....:j

We have wardrobes assembled and all the boxes are unpacked apart from DS but as he is at his dad's until tomorrow then it will keep him occupied and outta mischief for the weekend as we are away at the bike rally tomorrow.:T:beer:

OH worked on his bike on the Sunday and Monday and the bandit lives to ride another day....passed its MOT with flying colours :T should have seen the OH he was like a nervous wreck :) and kept nipping off to the loo....:rotfl: (its only a bike !!)

I have been out on the maiden voyage yesterday although OH was really impressed and said that he felt me relax on the back although still don't like left hand corners....:( have been told though that this will pass and I will get used to them.

Today I have been out with a friend for lunch and had my nails done a rare treat for me and the whole lot cost £33 did intend to be a boozy sesh this afternoon but decided against that especially with the impending bike rally tomorrow.

My dad has been in hospital this morning and they have carried out the angiogram (done through his wrist instead of his groin :o) and is now home :T although he can't drive for 3 days and has had to cancel the weekend away. They have said that he has a narrowing of the arteries and they have increased his medication although this can cause kidney damage so they are monitoring him closely, but can return to work but has been told that he MUST take it easy.....

Hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday and that the next one is just as good. Must admit though I was looking forwards to the watching the wedding (!!) but as OH's sister has now said that they are now setting off at 10.30am instead of 5.30pm I can't watch it :(

OH has said that he is worried about asking me to marry him as if I say no then he would be devastated ....:(, but this just wouldn't be the case it would be most definately a resounding YES !!:)

Last night he was packing the bike gear into the relevant throwovers etc...and was stuffing in a fleecy throw just because he knows that I always feel cold :o its the small things that mean so very much, he always ensures that I am happy and comfortable in anything we do. I honestly and truly cannot imagine my life without him.

He told me the other night that he didn't go out with anyone for 3 years after my dad said that we couldn't see each other anymore :( he went into the army and didn't come home for a year as he wanted to prove to my dad that he was worthy of me....by that time I had met someone else. I thought he had forgotten all about me...this brought tears to my eyes....and I feel so truly blessed to have found him again after all this time....:A

Well enough of my witterings...will log on again when I can and hopefully next time my internet will be on :T

    hugs
    Bf xx

I'm glad things are going so well for you at the moment, burntfingers.

You were on someone else's diary just now, wondering where they'd gone. Look at post no. 283 of your own diary above! Sorry to be cryptic, but can't use names in case of someone doing a search.

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

    hi peeps

Had a really good weekend with OH on the bike rally although it nearly never got started :o:o as (as little_h will understand more than anyone) I had so much bike gear on, what with the leathers and helmet, jacket, loads of layers etc and OH's large leather gloves that I couldn't physically get on the bike. Resulted in massive panic attack nearly to the point of me being in tears - visor steamed up I was panicking that much :o:o. OH was lovely and so patient and just waited for me to get on when I was ready.... :A

Went to OH's sisters house to collect her and her hubby - I was dreading getting back on the bike, I struggled a bit but managed to get on okay. We then went to meet other folks that were campiong with us and then onto Driffield and picked up another couple of riders.

We had a very thrilling ride up to where the event was being held. I have to say that I did not mention it was my first rally as the bikers have an initiation ceremony :eek:although wasn't keen to find out what it was so just kept quiet. :) The music/comedy/company was truly brilliant and to top it all off we had brilliant sunshine too :T.

I worried about not been able to eat very much with having the diary intolerance etc but the food on offer was truly amazing and was so reasonable too. All in all I can't wait for the next meeting which is to be held in June. Tickets for the weekend are £25 and that includes the camping !! Roll on the 17-19th June we can't wait :T

Whilst the weekend was really good and ended up costing me around £25 and that was including the meals etc. Came back to a gi -normous electricity bill of £196 that was with the £100 off that I had already paid on direct debit...and then £169.00 for the gas and that was with £120 deducted...so from the 11th Dec - 22 April the bills for the small 2 bedroomed flat was £585.00 and that was with us being out at work all day :eek: OMG !!! :o have the bills increased so much??? My 3 bedroomed semi only costs £55.00 a month and that is for both gas and electric and that was based on actual bills....the flat was superly insulated too....:(

Then I noticed that Npow*r had omitted to give me a discount for dual fuel or a discount for paying by DD. I also noticed that the meter reading was wrong on the electric too as I had mis-read it when I first got the flat....and thought that the 4's looked like 9's (it was dropping dark when I read them:() but rang them straight back and told them of the error.....I managed to get through to them yesterday and said of the error and this guy said that he would check the details on the account. He then came back and said yes they had a record of me giving the wrong reading and then ringing back with the correct reading...but they just decided to charge me under the incorrect reading... !!! needless to say he did apologise and assured me that they would send out an amended bill for £114.00 great if it works innit??? Pointed out that there was no discounts applied either and he said that once a customer left them the bills were split into gas/elec....but how many other customers have not noticed that the discounts haven't been applied??? Okay it may only be a few quid but if they do that on every leaver....a right earner....:(

I also received a nasty  letter from one of my creditors demanding a doctors letter to prove that I am suffering anxiety and stress...they had said that if I did not send proof then I would be referred for legal action  I don't feel that I should have to give this proof as my mental health does not affect my ability to pay, its the fact that I do not have disposable income to pay them anything other than a token payment. Does anyone know if I have to give them this information?? or can I send them the contact details for my doctor? for them to contact him directly?? Am at a loss as what to do with this so any ideas will be appreciated.

Plus last night when I got home I received a statement for my loan which was front loaded with interest when I took out the original agreement and they have added over £280 + interest since. Does anyone know if they can do this??? (I had paid well over half of the loan before I defaulted and paid it religiously).

Still no news on my funding either that is all up in the air :( ....the good news is that I have decided not to stress about it and what will be will be, but just in case have applied for another job, in the hope that my funding will come through for here...:)

On a positive note my Internet is now back on yayyyyyyyyyy :j

How annoying about the gas/elec people. I remember a few years ago they doubled my gas bill as my contributions werent sufficient. After a few months I was hundreds of pounds in credit!! Quick to take it off you but not to give it back!

I cant give you any info on the loan stuff I'm afraid as I dont know how it works. Sure there will be someone soon, else you could post the specific query on the DFW board??

Sounds like a great weekend was had :) and what a bargain! Lucky you!! I dont like bikes etc but remember struggling to get onto an elephant and really wanted to cry, was humiliating ( for me and the elephant :rotfl:).
