We are deeply upset by the service and shortfall of service that has been received so far from Sky.
Initially the following offer was seen on money saving expert, prior to we didn’t really have much intention of going to Sky although we were looking at getting virgin tv at the time.
We were offered:
Free £25 m&s voucher
Free Ipod 8gb
Free sky plus HD box
We signed up online via the special link from money saving expert, to which after got an email about getting permission etc for the dish. So we had to send a cancellation email so that we could obtain this. We called up within a few minutes of the email, to which we spoke to quite an abrupt person in customer services.
She said not to worry what she would do was put our installation back, then this would allow us time to get the permission and call us the day before, on the 8th. She said as a gesture of goodwill that she would credit the installation cost to our account due to how the guy before was with us as we had already paid it.

I got an email last night when we got in from work, it was a cancellation notice. We called up and spoke to customer services, who then put us through to sales. We were advised after been passed back again to the same department that they could give us the deal but we would have to pay the installation.

I quoted about what was told by their retentions team and this was denied, they said that no notes of this sort were on the notes and that this could not be offered. I asked for a manager, to which he said no notes were there, I requested that the call was listend to as I had no reason to lie about the matter.

We have received full permission to have the dish etc now installed. They say we although retention offered the free fitting, the failed to mention that we wont get the free ipod offer. anyone else find this?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

i took the shy hd offer , and have just had it installed for free, just paying £28 a month for the hd/variety pack. i emailed to confirm im getting the ipod and voucher and they emailed back confirming i had. though nothing in physical writing i have kept the email, just in case. but so far i havent had any trouble at all with sky.fingers crossed.
  • As far as I am concerned we won`t be getting any free Ipods as they are not aware of this offer and there is nothing in the system on your account once you place the order.
I have been chasing customer services for a few days now and no one was able to confirm my eligibility.
