Stroppy jack :- oo painful, that much for tyres! Saying that i pai£17 for 2 part worn ones. What can i say the wheel fell off. So next time were going to pay a bit more. But still thats extortionate.
As for the ironing, not a chance, as a woman who has other things to do, i just don't see the point. I iron school uniforms and that's it. I mean they going to get crumpled anyway.
Butterfly brain:- i know our car will cost more than that probably to get it through its MOT. Its due next month so think were going to px at a local garage on another car.
Oh god that's sounds nasty. I dread ot think what ours will cost
.
Well i've done the bathroom, upstairs toilet and kitchen. Just waiting for the floor to dry before i start painting. No way am i attempting it when its wet, as i know i fall flat on a$$.
Think i'm going to try and sew the rest of the knee pads on OH's trousers.
beemouzed that was last week, just waiting for it to dry up so i can get mine out.0 -
Hi Chums ,great news snoozer :j:T I bet your really pleased about the results.I have been really busy the past couple of days ,spring cleaning ect, just put two big cheese, bacon and mushroom pasta bakes into the oven for eldest Dd.I have to pick the boys up this afternoon from school as well so still have lots to do.
Had a sad email from an old friend in Australia ,Eddie has just been diagnosed with a large mass on his Liver and its inoperable .Bless him he lost one of his sons last year to the same thing and he was so strong for him .His wife Beth must feel like history is repeating itself all over again. He is such a positive old guy as well.He went to school with my eldest brother 65 years ago before his family became £10 poms in the early 1950s.He was brilliant and so supportive when I was ill and I feel so useless that I can do nothing for him.I shall remember him nightly in my chats to the Almighty and hope he doesn't suffer too much pain.
Well time I got a wriggle on ,<hugs> to those who are down and in need
Take care all

Morning Peeps
wet and rainy here this morning, i`ve not had a very good nights sleep as little oldiee woke me at 2am to go out and i couldn`t get back to sleep
i found myself browsing around on here until turned 5am and then i managed another hour. Not good as i`m on the late shift starting today so i`ll be shattered by midnight.
On a lighter note jackets and liver and bacon and onions are cooked and plated/tupperwared up for tea later and i`ve got 5 ramekins of pate from the leftovers, i`ve just had some on toast - delicious!
The houndies are walked and have been towelled off and are snoozing away happilly and i`ve already sorted out the kitchen and put everything away
I just need to hop in the shower and have a flick around with the duster before leaving the house - the hoovering can wait until tomorrow i think.
Sorry to hear that we have so many poorlies - ((((HUGS)))) and get well soon wishes to you all.
JackieG - I love hearing about Coco
Snoozer - Great results :j
Looks like we`re in for another downpour, the sky has turned black  i`m off to pop down the garden and check on the bits and bobs in the greenhouse before the heavens open.
Have a good day everyone.

GemmaBuckle wrote: »Maitene - You started a baby quilt with sausages and lurking vegetable soup? Dare I ask?!?
That had me near howling this morning! My office would have thought I was mad.
Although, I must admit, we were semi naughty last night - Sausage soup is on tonight's menu as we went for a chinese banquet last night instead...
Bad Maity and Bad Housemate.
However, it was budgeted for, sort of. I was going to have my hair coloured but I decided to let my brother do it for me instead. In fact, the £20 I spent is less than the hair budget (even including my hair colour) so I will put the rest into the festival jar, balanced by the fact I am making turbo cider for the festival, money saving AND tasty. :rotfl:Or at least I can try to justify it.
The baby quilt is going to be cream with pink hearts and stars with the littl'uns name on, she's calling her Evie which I think is super cute.
I hope everyone has a chance to be a happy bunny today and I don't really have much else OS to add

Afternoon
Just recovering from an awful head cold and viral thing. Still had to go to work the last 2 days as there would have been no one to cover my clinics and anyway you can`t have sick time in the NHS unless you have a death certificate;). I also had a migraine due to being due on and that just about finished me off:o
Just made bottom of a Shepherds Spy and will do the mash in a mo.
Got some tidying to do and ironing.
DS has to go for his autism review later ...to Ryegate for all you South Yorks peeps:p. They are going to look at him from a Tourettes point of view too:o. These appts are a nightmare as you are in a waiting room full of kids with autism who don`t do waiting and are all flapping etc:o:cool:..DS is insisting on taking his radio which is a bit of a problem really.
Am hoping this cold thing has gone by Friday as it is my bday (40!).
Have not had a chance to catch up with the daily so hugs to all in need at the moment. Prob be on later
Oh my friend who has a toddler being investigated for Retts disorder has found out they are also looking at whether it is Angelmans syndrome instead of Retts. I am hoping it is as of the 2 it looks to be the more managable iykwim0 -
NPM - (((hugs))) hope you're soon feeling a lot better. Good luck with Noahs review. I know what you mean about the waiting room, its like that when we take service users from work(autism - tourettes - learning disabilities -etc etc) to the docs - a nightmare to keep them occupied and quiet. I usually have a handbag full of distractions ie handcream, mints, tissues to hand out when required:DDo what you love :happyhear0

NPM good luck at Ryegate , sounds like its just what you dont need when you are ill- hope everything goes ok x
watching the budget whilst i have my dinner, those MPs are worse than kids the way they heckle! what chance do we have with peeps like that running the country

Snoozer - excellent news on your results :T
NPM - Hope Noah's review goes OK and that you're feeling up to par for your birthday
Molly - wow 4 chronic conditions......that sounds like a lot to cope with. Hugs to you xxxxx
sistercas - I avoid watching MP's as they make my blood boil acting like such silly children  No doubt I shall be poorer at the end of this budget
Put vac round top and bottom, mopped floors and went to Mr S. Busy morning and have done 3 trips to school today too! DS really enjoyed seeing the Fire Engine - I could see him having a play in it from his bedroom window (school is at end of the garden
). Only problem was he didn't want to go back initially for afternoon nursery. He knows his routine is nursery once a day and because he'd gone in the morning he thought that was it
Bless him he got everso upset but thankfully once we got there all tears were forgotten.
Want to make some raspberry buns - neighbour gave me two cookbooks - 365 desserts and one on all things chocolate
Have a good afternoon.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife
