Morning All
I am here and OK, just not a lot to say. The funeral went as well as they do, internment of my Dad's ashes will be Monday. It was nice to have DS home for 4 days and to see some friends at the weekend.
Snoozer - pleased to hear your results. Strange how labyrinthitis is quite common. DH suffers, and had a bad bout in Spain a couple of years ago, seems the symptoms he had were similar to a stroke, so they handled him accordingly and gave him a thorough check up. He took the tablets and it went for a while, but came back in a milder form then he was told to take them for 6 months continuous, which he has done, and atm seems fine.
News of absent friends - H-J sent me a FB message re my Dad and said she was fine but busy and enjoying her new job. P-Pin is struggling a bit, as her DH has to have a op on his leg/knee? and will not be able to look after her (he's her carer) so she may have to go into respite, but she really did not want to. She also had to go into hospital and had been in as well, so some good vibes for her would be good. Cranky also sent me a messare re my Dad on FB and she seems to be OK having fun with the cat!
DH laying some extra insulation in the loft atm, I am keeping well out of the way;). May nip to B&Q later as it is oldies day and he is now an oldie. Still doing normal OS duties, but dreading the ironing as I seem to get a horrible pain in my back/side when ironin which goes when I stop:o.
:grouphug: to those I haven't mentioned who'd like one :hello: to the newbies and  to all. Not forgetting :bdaycake: for anyone I missed.

Morning all...................((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if tou need one.
It has rained overnight so no need to water the plants I put in at the weekendm ecept those on the front, the rain has not reached them
The plants I bought yesterday all seem to be ok, the blackberry has been well watered and looks very healthy, the camellia has what looks like quite a few flower buds on. I think I may put the camellia in a larger pot until it gets a bit bigger before putting it directly into the ground.
Have not had a chance to look at the other stuff yet. OH has his gardening clothes on so I guess he is going outside.
Its quilting this afternoon, not sure what I am going to be doing this morning, depends on the weather, might get out into the garden and plant up some more stuff from pots. I bought lupins yesterday, I need to get some water bottles and cut them down so I can stop the bunnies eating them until they get a bit more established, snails love them too so some slug pellets too, they are the only thing that really work. We do use the ones that do not affect the wild life.
We were late this morning I slept in until half past eight, I must have needed the sleep, so a slow start.
Central heating on this morning for all the good its doing in the sitting room, the radiator is not powerful enough for the space especially when the curtains are drawn back from the bay, but I am not going down that route with our
landlord, I am cross enough with him already.
Right ofsky......see y'all later.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
floss - I think there's two issues here: Number 1 there is no one else who can do my job, and the person who tried to whilst I was sick, messed it up royally, and number 2, I just don't see the point in my being here. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, I just don't care about it. Need to get over myself and get on with the saving up!
Maybe there's a need for a trainee to help you whilst learning it? Either that or do as I do and put up, shut up & just take your pay home at the end of the month to put towards your plans

Morning All! Didn't manage to get on here at all yesterday - interviewing for the second day in a week for a further church post - beginning to feel I might as well be back at work! had to dig out the smarter clothes which I no longer require very often - if I breathe in and don't attempt to do up the jacket the suit still fits...
Snoozer - very pleased about your results.
Another labrynthitis sufferer here, on a very occasional basis that is. Not pleasant, but thankfully the tabs always help. Don't like the feeling that I'm going to fall over when I'm already lying down!
Well, the hall, stairs and landing are lokking much cleaner and fresher now thanks to my lovely decorator. Walls and ceilings done, undercoating gloss as I type. Hopefully all finished by tomorrow evening.
Woke up with stiff neck today, Was hoping it would wear off, but not yet. Was hoping to line-dry the washing, but the rain is still falling, albeit quite gently. TD again methinks.
Was talking to a friend about her new overlocker recently - says it threads itself. Anyone know anything about this? It's what stops me using mine as I hate the fiddly threading mechanism.
Oh well, must stop rambling and find something useful to do.
take care and enjoy todayResolution:

:rotfl::rotfl: My sentiments exactly. Normally I can put up with not caring one way or the other, but with everything that's happened it just brings home that perhaps I shouldn't just be putting up and shutting up as I could be dead tomorrow.
And on that cheery note, I'm off to pretend I'm interested in a meeting about something else that doesn't matter :rotfl: xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

I had no idea that's what you had...I knew you weren't well but you don;t like to ask do you? I seen some information on uncompensated labrynthitis but didn't want to read to much. I like to know the facts without the scarey bits if you know what I mean!
I'd never heard of it before I got it - just shows how common it is....4 of us (so far!) on one daily!
I do feel like I'mimproving a little bit every day.... yesterday I felt really good so I didn't take my tablet....BIG mistake - soon took it when the room started moving! I'm finding reflective things kick me off....was at the doctors on Monday and the shiny floor and glass walls were a nightmare! and the automatic sliding door nearly finished me off!
Hi JC,
Yes its one of four chronic conditions that I suffer from. I didnt post earlier because I didnt want to scare you. Its so rare to become a chronic condition that please dont worry. The thing is you have to keep moving cos otherwise you wont compensate - as horrid as that sounds. I hope you feel better soon as it truly is a horrid condition. xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
snoozer good news re the biopsy , ooh labyrinthitis , I had it 3 times last year , completely knocks me off my feet and I feel sodreadfully ill , its an awful thing . I find the tabs dont work as well anymore
upstairs is cleaned and hoovered, bathrooms done
washing done in the bath , having to put on the radiators as its wet outside
off to do the downstairs next
just had my breakfast egg, mushrooms and sugar snap peas
Stoppyjock/ JC glad I have motivated you into a fitness regime :rotfl:0 -
Butterfly brain - the stupid thing is that if the lorry was parked across your drive and you were trying to get your car out it would be classed as an obstruction offence, if you are trying to get on to your drive it is not an offence and there is nothing you can do. I work for a local council and an awful lot of our calls are about parking. Unfortunately there is generally nothing we can do, it may be inconvenient but if a car is parked legally it can't be touched.
Thanks for all the comments. I knew you were having a bout of labyrinthitis jc but I didn't know about all the others. Mine tends to be brought on by sudden movements, especially looking up (and DH's driving, which can be jerky!) I can cope most of the time because it is intermittent but when it's constant as it is at the moment I need to take something.
Glad to hear the news about Pen-pin Donny, even if it isn't the best, I think a lot of us worry about her when she's not been on a while.0 -
OOh! rain completely stopped and sun shining brightly! have just pegged out all the washing. (And how sad am I, not only being excited by this, but needing to share as well??)Resolution:
