    isnt weightloss day on wednesday????

That is when it is put on here, I go to slimming world on Monday so thats when I post it on here - otherwise I would forget to do it! I was under the impression it didn't matter when we put it on here - as long as it was done by Wednesday?

  • Well I have a wonderful Birthday and weekend.
Had a BBQ at the beach on saturday but had marinated turkey steak which was lovely :D But it was nice to just relax and not worry about anything. My Mum is doing well and enjoyed the relaxed lunch too.

I got some great presents My Tefal Actifry which I am so impressed with. I took Eric's advice and got the extra virgin Rapeseed oil and the taste was amazing on my wedges :D

I also got some new scales that do BMI, BMR, Fat % etc........ got a little shock at what my fat % is but now I can work on getting it lower. But the fun thing is I can upload the results on to the computer and see my progress, But I don't know what the impact will be on my weigh in this week

Victory - I hope you are feeling better and have managed to get to see someone who can help you. 11 Hypo's is not a good place to be

Eric and RetiredLady - I cannot thank you both enough for changing my mind on the actifry, I did a lovely stirfry last night and to be able to use so little oil but great taste so thank you :A

Hope everyone is having a good day x

The doc she deals with diet type diabetes so as much as help as a chocolate kettle:rotfl: no to be fair when she realised the severity of it all rather than ushering me out with can't help you ringing in my ears she did try to make some calls and panic a bit incase it came back on her that I had personally asked for help and was not getting any, the short version is I have had 2 more hypos today and will be contacted 9am tomorrow (in the meantime keep it high and wait) by the diabetic team, strangely ridiculously it was mentioned if I vomit or have shortness of breath to be admitted to a &e straight away and I thought to myself I SO want that so that they take it seriously and finally get me some help, she asked about weight loss, I should be so lucky on the sugar I have had:rotfl:not wishing myself iller but to get some help tomorrow would be nice:D

Victory, I'm sure I am not the only one on hear who feels frustrated and helpless to help you out other than support on here. I just hope your system balances out soon, but as eric says, this is serious and you are an expierienced diabetic so you know when something is wrong.

The upside on being in pain at the mo for me is that my new pain killers definitely dull the my appetite , so although eating sufficiently, I have lost a lot of interest in food and it actually quite a relief and I just don't think about food between meals. But no, I am not remotely tempted to take the tabs unless really necessary.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I hope you get to see someone really sensible tomorrow Victory who can give you some feedback about why you've had all these hypos and more importantly how to avoid them recurring. Good luck!
