Morning:D thanks for all the support it really is very much appreciated, if it is alright with you all not going to put a weigh in this week as the sugar will have moved the scales up and that is going to make me unhappier than I already am:rotfl: there is no way I want to add to this:rotfl: anyway update, doc rang this morning to tell me she is going to get me some help, not she has, she is going to during the course of today wait by the phone and some help will be on the other end of the line, :j:jI feel so lucky:rotfl::rotfl: none of the docs are taking it as seriously as you might have thought they should, I did feel very sick yesterday and was hoping to be so that I could plonk myself in a&e but as one doc said you would have waited there for hours so best to wait for the phone conversation, do you know the doc actually did it again to me yesterday, blah blah on the insulin dosage what we will do is cut back the night time one (NHS had told me to check every 2 hours baring in mind 4-7 is fine it was 20.1/19.7/15.4 then plunged ) so she says instead of 24 we shall put 20 on well if on 24 it is rising beyond belief to cut the insulin would make it go into the 30's anyone can see that, I pointed it out to her and she said 'oh yes see what you mean we won't do that then' AMAZING:eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Victory I don't know how you're restraining yourself (probably because you're as poorly as you are) I think I would plunk myself down in the docs surgery and refuse to move until she does something constructive. Sometimes you wonder if they have a clue.

I would but my docs surgery has christine in it, only deals with diet related diabetics not insulin and saw her last night, she openly apologized she would be of no help as she was not qualified and would and is getting me some help today, pass the buck or pass the information to an insulin dependent diabetic knowledgeable doc either way it is 1pm and still no phone call:)

Eric - hang on in there buddy, make a big effort these last couple of days, and you should be fine. You had a big loss last week, so maybe that's also a factor to consider?

I had to get to the docs early on monday as well so i started training at 6.30 and i was bunged up so theres some spare weight in there

I've seen in the supermarket fresh fish fillets in a microwaveable bag all ready for zapping. Doe anyone know if I could just remove the fillet from the bag and grill it as normal? The single fillets are ideal for me and are curretly cheaper than any other option

I was going to say TMI, but then on this thread, with this lot, there's no such thing as TMI :rotfl:

My immediate thought was do you own a hosepipe? Here's hoping you have some movement before tomorrow's weigh in.

Vixstar - I can't see it being a problem to grill the fish. The only reason they're in the bag is to make them microwaveably steamed. If it works out cheaper, then go for it.

    Hi

Victory - glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, hopefully the medics will get things sorted out asap.

Fredsnail - have fun counting on the 6th, you could take carrot sticks, grapes, babybel cheese, snack-a-jacks, fruit... you'll probably have the other people going for your food instead of the biscuits!

Eric - are you getting enough fibre in your diet? ;)

I spent the afternoon shopping for an outfit for the wedding without any success and I ended up quite depressed. I so envy people who can find outfits and accessories that look good, I find things I like but when I put them on, suddenly I go off them - the outfit is fine, it's me in them I don't like. :o And I love shoes, but having size 9 feet means it's hard to find any in a particular colour and style to go with an outfit, so I usually end up buying outfits that I can wear with black. :(

My other problem is not really knowing what style to look for - the dress code is black tie, so DH will be wearing a dinner jacket, but what do ladies wear, evening dress? Anyone got any advice?
