Vix should be the wedding outfit advice expert now Lois, with her new job. As well as the bra expert ;)

Sary are you OK? Sorryto hear that things are not going too well.

Thanks for asking about the job - I've only been back for two days so it's too early t osay really. No one's shouted at me yet - so that's good. My [STRIKE]cupboard[/STRIKE] windowless office is quite tucked away so I can get on with work pretty well but on the other hand it's a bit lonely. Never satisifed, am I?

Black tie will mean some sort of formal dress either cocktail or lomg unless otherwise specified.
Currently trying to find a long evening dress for a summer ball. Have three in my cupboard made by my mum but due to weight loss and shape change not sure any of them will be decent in one way or another. What's really annoying is I have had a tawl on e bay and currently have found 8 dresses from a company I really like in my sister's size and zero in my size. Can guarantee if I buy something from else where ebay will suddenly be overrun with dresses for me.

Thanks for all the election night snack suggestions - will make use of some of them :j I'm sure, along with a couple of caffine drinks to keep me awake (I don't drink tea or coffee - so half a can of diet coke has me bouncing :o)

victory I hope you've settled down now.

Lois I went to my best friends wedding last January - it took me 7 months of trying on and looking for outfits that didn't make me look like a sack of spuds, I ended up with an outfit I didn't really like out of desperation because I ran out of time. I hate the wedding photos - but as you said the outfit was ok - it's me in it I don't like.

There are some online shoe stores for women with size 8 and above - type in womens larger shoes uk and there are a few that may have something for you - some of them look very pretty :) I have the opposite problem for shoes that are small and narrow - can normally only wear lace ups.

I was going to say TMI, but then on this thread, with this lot, there's no such thing as TMI :rotfl:

My immediate thought was do you own a hosepipe? Here's hoping you have some movement before tomorrow's weigh in.

Eric - are you getting enough fibre in your diet? ;)

I spent the afternoon shopping for an outfit for the wedding without any success and I ended up quite depressed. I so envy people who can find outfits and accessories that look good, I find things I like but when I put them on, suddenly I go off them - the outfit is fine, it's me in them I don't like. :o And I love shoes, but having size 9 feet means it's hard to find any in a particular colour and style to go with an outfit, so I usually end up buying outfits that I can wear with black. :(

    :p

I have IBS most of the time so Fibre is normally avoided, weigh in is monday and i will stick to that. Im sure by next week it will be back to normal ;)

As for your shopping, even if i can get down to normal human size my back is so wide I cant get clothes from normal shops anyway ..
