I have to check my numbers in the night every 2 hours or OH does and see about getting help tomorrow, great help not:D

  • Victory, this is[STRIKE] not good[/STRIKE] atrocious. You need continuity of care here don't you (sorry, stating the obvious). Hope so much you get the help and care you need and deserve tomorrow or sooner if you need to go to a&e:(

Uhm it is not good, stating the obvious after ten years, sure they have a script to follow I know that but they were more concerned at the beginning with getting my date of birth address phone number etc which seemed to take ages and then ask the questions and advice to seek help elsewhere which is fine had it been a monday:rotfl: won't bother with NHS direct again, she was lovely and told me about the sugary drinks etc which after 10 years I know and make sure this is done, yes ,and that is done, yes, and have you done that, yes, and are you ill, no and are you suffering from flu, no, and are you eating yes, and are you exercising strenously, no etc all the usual stuff but at the end of it as she taps into her comp all the answers she says wait until tomorrow and get some helo:eek:

Victory NHS 24 can be a bit hit and miss, I think it really depends on who you get on the end of the phone. Have you tried phoning again to see if you can get someone a bit more helpful? or even see if they can send a doc out to visit. Take care and please let us know how you're doing in the morning. I'm worried about you. Hugs.

BB Please let us see some pics when you're ready. Hope it goes great for you.

pep ;)thanks so far I have rang the diabetic clinic who say they can't help me because they only do appointments and do not do emergency ones so she gave me a number to call the diabetic triage who will counsel me over the phone, another way is to go to A&E but not allowed to do that if not refered by the doc, there is not one person assigned to deal with this kind of thing and leaves me in limbo, anyway the traige place opens at 9.30am so I am at present clock watching:D

I know my body is in a lot of trouble because my breath stinks of the diabetic metal taste has no salava and finding it hard to remember what day it is:D

Well I'm getting cross now victory. This is where the system is madness. Is your DH still with you?

Efrieze - great to see you back

Mazza - I always get the 1st page Mazza and have to leap to the last and then scroll back- are you telling me that not everyone does?

Woken this morning my hoards of lovely firemen outside my window. Worse ways to start the day... and my wonderful elderly neighbour is fine though I think the kitchen has been taken to a&e. (Probably get more attention that victory)
