after all that we get a pathetic weight loss as well ...

ill just have to hope its down to system shock from the tracer dye they injected into me or some residual fluid from the 24ltrs of water i have drunk since friday to flush the dye out with ....
and i feel crap, not sure if its the remnants of this sore throat and top part of the chest infection virus i had all last week or again down to the angio or both ....
!!!!!! it did an hour on the treadmill to try and pull myself out of it ..0 -
Morning all
Hope you all had a good weekend. My weekend is still to come - we work Thursday to Monday and have Tuesday and Wednesday as days off, so it's Friday here!:D
Vixstar - I often have meat free days and when I have meat it's only a small portion. However as I'm counting calories now I've found I have to be very careful with vegetarian meals as pasta and rice are so high in calories. I used to do Slimming World, and a recipe I make with pasta and Quorn sausages would be classed as 'free food', but the same recipe works out very high in calories.
Eric - 24ltrs of water? Sorry to hear you're not feeling so good. I read an article a while ago about a new device that's being put into use for people with AF - it's to prevent blood clots forming, so it prevents strokes and heart attacks, and it means patients don't need to take warfarin. More information here. (I'm not a DM reader by the way - someone gave me the article!)
Have a good week everyone.

Morning all!
Eric I read the article you linked, glad there is a positive side to your diagnosis - good luck with the treatment and I hope you feel better very soon.
Good to hear you're enjoying your swimming BB!Sorry to hear about the post-swim pain though, is that likely to ease up with more swimming or would it be the same regardless?
How's your training going Vix? Are you looking forward to the race?
Welcome Starbutton, best of luck with your weight loss, that's great you're seeing results from making healthy 'swaps'.
Good luck everyone this week, judging by the small size of the last chart it looks like we've lost a few people...? So a big well done to everyone who's sticking with it! :T
I've been following my new eating routine, but still no sign of any fat loss despite increased exercise lately. My body seems to have become an expert in quickly adapting to whatever level of intake/exercise I do. It's no wonder people who lose weight often put it back on, because if I'd taken my eye off things I'm sure I'd have gained loads by now...
Last week I did a total of 41km cycling (on & off road), 38km running inc a single run of 30km which equalled my longest ever run :j, a hike, trampolining, springboard diving, swimming (all 4 strokes) & ice skating. It was a fab week!0 -
I think I might have finally found my motivation. I got a letter at the weekend stating I was a close match for someone on the bone marrow transplant list. So I gave them a call today to chat about it and apparently I'm too overweight to be used. I feel absolutley dreadful about it.0

I don't know missy - Did research over the weekend and everywhere says swimming is one of the best exercises for arthritis but don't over do it. So as I am enjoying it, I will continue and see how it evens out.
I have felt really lousy for the last 4 days: not so much bad pain but just drained and lifeless. Horrible feeling. Every single things felt like a mamoth effort and I end up beating myself up for being bone idle and 'I'll never achieve anything in life coz I am obbviously not trying hard enough'. Will I never learn:(. Woke up this morning feeling so much better and have achieved more in the last 2 hrs than the last 4 days. Which makes me realise (been here a 1000 times) what ever was wrong, I was ill in some form or another. It does get a bit wearing though, these episodes. I just can see life passing me by all too clearly during them and that is very painful.
Still on wards and upward. Today is a good day, hurrah:j.
Funnelly - welcome to our lovely forum. Really sorry to hear your news. You must feel dreadful:grouphug:. Is there anyway you can start to make modifications to what you are eating? What are your food pitfalls?
Eric - I'm sure this week is just a blip with all that was going on last week. Sorry you are feeling rough again.
Starbutton - swapping unhealthy snacks for healthy ones is a fabulous start:T
Vixstar - a vegetarian diet can be very heathy but only if thought about, other wise cheese becomes a main factor and as Lois says, heaps of pasta is also loaded with calories.
Lois - have a good weekend, lol.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Thanks Beanie: I do feel much better today. Cracking on with a few projects, which is always a sign I feel better. The last few days have been rather like looking through a telescope the wrong way.
Off Topic, but would peeps agree that the feeling of fresh clean sheets is one of those things that should be on the 'best things in life' list?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
