victory - ha ha well done knew you could do it!! Now you know why your boss is so slow at marking you, you are showing them all up!! :rotfl:
bb - yes indeed, fresh clean sheets that you slip into naked after a nice warm bubble bath
missy - slow down, you are making me feel tired
funnelly - welcome to the madhouseand sorry for your setback, at least you know what you need to do to be successful next time. I do admire you, a bone marrow transplant is quite an undertaking so you are very brave to even be considered for it.
Back to work today after my marvellous weekend away, and hit the ground with a bump. Project still stalled, nothing to do but thumb-twiddle, makes me feel unimportant and the day is very long and tedious. Was supposed to have a meeting with the new manager today and I have had everything prepared since last week to show off everything that I have done to get ready to launch my programme and what happens? she informs me - in passing and only after I asked her - that the meeting will have to be postponed with no info as to how long for. I am running out of ways of looking busy, think from now on I will "work from home" and only come into the office if there's a meeting on. At this time of year there all sorts going on with the kids' schools with shows, plays etc all being crammed in before the end of the school year so I have the perfect excuse (this is supposed to be a family-friendly employer).
I also feel very *heavy* after the last few days and I have no excuse now for not eating well and exercising, have a feeling I wont be weighing in this week tho!! (my trousers are a bit tight today!!)£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Hi all
Eric - glad they've worked out what's going on with you and now you can start planning for the future
Brightonbelle - glad to hear you've perked up - I go thorough phases of feeling lethargic and rubbish like that but i'm not ill just lazy and lacking drive/motivation.
Slept in today :eek:coz i'm not feeling well. Bad idea as now i've got loads to do but not feeling motivated at all. Plus just had buttery toast and biscuits so feeling like a right fool.
Really want to go to the gym but lots of work meas I prob wont be able to, so then i feel worse and eat more, vicious cycle right?? How do you guys break this kind of cycle??? I just want to do some exercise but I have to do my work first and I can't seem to bring myself to get on with it!!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

thats is a most stupendous super interesting link, if they cant cure me i will insist they fit this :T:T:T:T
I was given the article as my OH is on warfarin because he has a mechanical heart valve - unfortunately they're only fitting these devices to people with AF so he'll have to carry on with his regular blood tests.

Only 1 wrong surely? 98% of 50? Congrats either way though! :T
BettyB I make a rough exercise plan for the upcoming week every Sunday, scheduled around whatever else I know I have to do. There are always times when unexpected work/whatever gets in the way, but equally there are times when I get some surprise free time I can use for exercise, so it evens out! (p.s. as you probably know, not a good idea to exercise until you're feeling better. Get well soon!)0 -
Victory Well done on the exam!
BB definitely very hard to beat fresh, clean sheets.
I must get back into the habit of either having soup, a baked potato or salad for lunch - the chips in the canteen are just the easy option and I always feel too full and sluggish after them.0 -

Hezza -nothing worse than trying to look busy. I had a job like that once 26 yrs ago and I still remeber how ghastly it was.
Bettyb: If you are not feeling well, then it's going to be harder so give yourself a bit of a break to recover first. If you are working from home, you maybe need to put a bit of time onto planning food, meals, snack and exercise? I admire anyone who works from home or studies at home without classes: I've never been the sort of person who could do that very well.
I have found with getting myself swimming again, I have had to come up with a weekly plan where it is built in to my 'timetable'. This for me meant finding somewhere that was on route from when I know I am travelling from A to B. and don't need to make an extra journey, because that woud be my down fall.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
congratulations Victory!!!!!0

thanks for the suggestions Brighton Belle and Missy - I will 'relax' a bit and recover from this cold before I start beating myself up again!
However, I do find that any form of exercise usually perks me up, so it might aid my recovery to do a workout dvd or something at home (dont want to infect the members of my gym!)
It's a fab idea to do an exercise schedule - I'm going to combine it with a food scedule too so I can't stray. If I don't plan my lunches I end up grazing on toast all day - I swear the spare tyre round my middle is made up entirely of white bread! that's the only real probelm I have with working from home. tonight I wil do a food and activity timetable for the week ad see if I can stick to it!!!
Swimming is something I really miss. Once managed to lose a fair bit of weght by swimming regularly, but now I am nowhere near a poolBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
