Although what you are going through at the moment must be scary as h*ll you can take comfort that all the good things you have been doing re your diet and exercise will help you get over this incident and hopefully not have any more!

its a bit of a !!!!!! to fix, its fixable for some people and for others it comes back
its pretty debilitating thou and i certainly cant go on as i am which is why i had the angiogram (which is bloody nasty) and i do not want to spend the rest of me life on drugs to control it as they have nasty side effects
but for a couple of months ill live with it and ill be positive about the outcome :T
for those that like some gore this is the procedure and because of my egg allergy they could not put me out so i was awake for it all
exactly the same kit, different hospital

Great news Eric! Seriously irritating but not life threatening if I've understood the article you linked to correctly.0

yep its very irritating and even painful, at its worst all you can do is sit down all day, there's a risk of stroke which they control with drugs but from what i can see if you have to have a heart condition this is the one to have0 -
eric - I'm glad you now have a diagnosis, and plan for tackling your problem. I think my sister had a similar procedure a couple of years ago, after suffering a heart attack whilst on holiday in Kenya. After being flown home, the NHS couldn't find any sign of a heart attack! I wonder if she had something like this? The physicians in Africa (who she said were far better equipped & more attentive than the UK ones) were adamant she'd had an attack, saying the evidence was even in her blood tests. Who knows? I think she'd like to believe the UK opinion though. She now takes medication to control her cholesterol and high BP. It seems from reading the article you linked, that the prognosis could be quite good for you, which must be a big relief. Take care of yourself over the coming weeks, and hopefully when your feeling much better, you can resume your regime once again.
Vix - I hope the boot sale went well. I did a few last year, but gave up after people haggled to get brand new, expensive items for pennies. I decided to not have the sale, went home and ebayed them for a decent price instead. No early mornings doing that either. It's free to place an ad on ebay now (ok you pay a fee on the final value reached), and to have up to 100 per month. I made £500 in April/May just selling old clothes, furniture & bed linen. Probably cost me about £50 in fees.
bb - glad to hear the swimming is going.... er, swimmingly!Keep it up, but keep it measured.
hezza - enjoy the freedom from studies, and enjoy your summer.
This w/end has been pretty poor foodwise. It's been carb laden, which is always a bad thing for me. I'm going to get on my bike again next week and put in some miles on that to help counter the effects of the food. I cleaned the bike and gave it a good service last week, as the derailleurs were catching in certain gears. Now it's smooth, and should be easier to ride. I may consider investing in some road tyres too. My OH is really got into his cycling, balancing it with his gym work, and is doing 25 mile rides a couple of times a week. I'm a bit too scared to go with him on a monster ride, but he's said he'll come out with me on his gym days for a shorter ride. The forecast for the beginning of the week is good, so I can plan them. I'll let you know how I get on.
For now I am going to enjoy some well earned peace, while the boys are at church. *puts kettle on for quiet cuppa*
Oh, and Happy Fathers' Day to all the dad out there. :beer:One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Hi I am new here. Wanted to say Hello to everyone and glad to hear Eric is ok.
I have around 6 stone to loose after I had a long illness, I started to see the weight go on.
I find eating what you want is best but swapping things. For example, swap the afternoon snack from crisps to cherry tomatoes. i find little things like that are really easy to do.
I have taken up many dances by dvd. I have lost 4lbs so far.

scary: I know what you mean, i made £29 today which wasnt bad. I had a hardback gok wan book, i think the current one out it was, well this woman asked me how much, i said a quid, she said no too expensive!! I Could have walloped her one. Ed looked it up on ebay and some person somewhere was going to pay £7 for it on ebay... so it just shows you.

Hi everyone
I am feeling much better now after my low bump last week. I think being overtired and lots of emotions where the cause but I have bounced back to me againI went to a wedding reception last night and had lots of compliments on my new figure so that made me feel even better too.
My poor OH has spent the whole weekend trying to fit a new engine and apart from a few other things we couldn't get, with it being a sunday and Halfords being useless he hopes tomorrow it might be running again :j (and that has made both of us happier again)

Need to loose 25lb / 3lb lost so far0 -
With the effort to eat more healthily and the way my body seems to be reacting to most red meat it seems that my diet is slipping more and more towards vegetarianism - hopefully this will have a good effect on my weight. Fingers crossed!0
