    Hey gang,
Welcome more newbies, join in with the banter to receive maximum benefits of this lovely throng.

Well done dmv on getting all your work done. Yah-boo-sucks for the burns. Sending you healing vibes.

Beanie - Sorry to hear your news, and I hope you feel a bit better after a cry.

bb - What a worrying time you have ahead of you with your meds. It's horrible if you know what 'might' happen, but I can't help but admire your wonderful perspective of 'what if this works out'. Congratulations on having your work for sale in a store. What a milestone day that must be for you.

Granny - I hope you find the time and space to sort out all the issues you have going on right now. I hope the treatment for your hip isn't too horrid.

Vix - Well done on the exercise - twice! I hope things sort themselves out with the m-i-l, or that you find a peaceful resolution that doesn't affect you and Matt too much. it can't be easy for you.

Well life here seems hectic. It always seems busier when the children are here. I have the honour of becoming a goddparent again tomorrow, and was gift hunting for her today. I am helping with the catering too. Not the best job in the world when it's as hot as it is right now. I'm not going to complain about the weather though, because I believe the nice weather breaks tomorrow anyway, and it'll be about 10 degrees cooler by mid-week.

Right, off to bed for me now, another busy day ahead of me tomorrow.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Ooh, forgot to say, Victory - your workplace is pants! Your boss is a total twonk (and other expletives of your choice). I don't know what's the best advice re. the clothes, but I recall you thinking yourself that perhaps you were a tad too skinny last year. I think the next size up is a good compromise, and clearly a weight you can maintain, as you have been for a fair while now. Your body will presumably be happier this way, and hopefully so will the rest of you too.

ding dong. Im in such a sexual mood its not even funny. Poor michael at work today! me and my manager discussing at length masterbaaatioooon. Apparently men do it 2.5 times a week (which i thought was seriously low) then we got talking about the .5 and coming to the conclusion that one of you has to start or finish and the other does the opposite to get the point 5. If youre single though youre !!!!!!ed!!

Im going to pilates again tomorrow morning :) and then maybe for a swim after. Gunna have to do a swift bit of topiary downstairs first though.

Life wise is pretty rubbish.. dunno where to start but im pretty confuzzled as to whether matt and i have a future together or not. I think im being really selfish, but i wanna do things with my life and i had this big chat with my friend and even though i feel how i do i suddenly feel so happy, and i havent felt this way in a long time, and that in itself is making me question if matt is the right one for me.

BB: Sorry to hear about your meds, that sounds horrible :( but fantastic news on your clocks and things!! You will have to tell us when someone buys something if you ever get to know.

Hezza i dont have slanty shoulders--they are square but getting very narrow from my blown weight size--im sure it is optical due to the wonders of middleage waist thickening that i look the same width from shoulders to hips--i am working on my waist but it is slowing going and the loose skin affect--i am thinking its time to tone myself with a more protein diet to compliment my training along with heavier weights.

hi all, thanks for the warm welcome!

bb: sorry to hear about your meds, the clocks/mosaic news is great though!

vix: i guess we all fluctuate but you've done sooo well! Those of us that have always carried extra weight seem to be paranoid whatever size we are.. i wish i had realised that 5 years ago when i was on holiday with my fit bikini bod :rotfl:

sooo my news, i managed to lose another lb :T

No idea how though! I've been invited to two parties in two days with free bars.. i had one gin.. testament to self control. But i did fall foul to a chocolate eclair on friday and then yesterday I was at the Adidas Party on Coronation street, we sat down at the table for the buffet and all i had near me were sausages, white bread, chicken, cupcakes and jelly... eek

so an evening meal of 2 x sausages, a chicken leg and a slice of bread isn't great. amazed i lost weight, just got to keep the momentum going with the exercise.

found this iphone app called my fitness pal for free which is really good for totting up how many calories im eating too :A

Today is my day at the radio which means lots of me time, and im going to eat pasta before i go so should be ok food wise. later im cooking soup and cous cous with roasted veg, want to get some meals ready for snacks or work!

    Keep up the motivation guys!:j

First, and most importantly, huge heartfelt hugs for Beanie and BB xxxxx
You are both an inspiration to me and I hope with all my heart that things improve for you both. Sending you lots of love xxx

Granny, also thinking of you and hoping things work themselves out for you, in all areas. Take care of you xxx

Vic, I know I haven't been around for ages and to those who don't know me this may seem like butting in; I hope you take it in the kind-hearted way I mean it. Please read this back to yourself:

4 pairs of shorts, 2 3/4 length and 1 dress from last summer do not fit, 4 shorts on ebay, 3/4 length in bin and 1 dress for the charity shop, OH was bored yesterday and made me take out all the Spain draw and try things on one by one to see what I would need, I said nothing as I had a draw full and was confident I did not need a thing, 1st pair of shorts trying on could not believe it, second pair trying on had to fight back the tears, third pair, got angry with OH for making me do this:rotfl:
4th pair was raging with anger, what is the point to all this blah blah, even when they fitted me I used to be lacking in cofidence and kept asking are they o.k? Do I look big in these? What about the belly?

No pleasing some women:rotfl::rotfl:so since last year at the lowest where people kept saying I looked old 11 lb has gone on, I was too thin then so 4lb was good to put back on but now there is 7lb adrift which 10lb makes a different dress size so I was either cramming into them last year or they fitted and I do need to go up a dress size? Me thinks it is the latter and with 8 weeks to go to the hol I am gutted:D

OH practically solution is get them on ebay, sell, the money you get you buy ones that fit, it is so fab to be a man:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I eat healthily all day long every day so will not be cutting back anymore than I already do, guess I will have to accept that I have gone up a dress size and those shorts will never fit me comfortably and erase it from my mind.:D

I guess turning down invites out to dinner, BBQ's and take aways still does not get me to wear those shorts:D

Car boot sale tomorrow so will go there looking for clothes in a larger size and just forget once I used to be able to get into a smaller size:rotfl::rotfl::D

Vic, your post makes me incredibly sad. Where is the love, the laughter, the happiness of life? It's just a drawer of silly clothes. Do as your husband suggested and get rid of them, then use the money to find some new ones. There is a harsh truth in your, and many other stories - you will never love your size until you love yourself. If I was there, I'd tell that 'awful parent' voice in your head to **** off and give you a big hug. You deserve to be happy xxx

Vix, I'm sorry you're having doubts about Matt. Obviously this isn't the place to go into it all but you know where I am. Sometimes other factors can make us think we're with the wrong person so give it some time xx

People, I'm here and struggling a little myself, mainly to keep the wonderful perspective I've gained amidst such screwed up 'values' of Western life. True happiness is worth striving for; numbers on a scale or dress size won't bring that. There's a much bigger picture out there...

And finally, just to console you that I am the same old Bails - thanks so much for the photos Hezza! :D

bails it got lost, it got caught up somewhere along the way with a plateful of veg, calorie counting, day to day fighting against the fear of going back to the size I was and the struggle of saying no thank you, not for me, I already ate a cucumber slice and I am full now but thanks for asking;)
