Well if its any consolation i am feeling pants with myelf, really fat and horrible. Everytime i get ready to go out i am trying on literally all i own and still feel horrible
Need to go out for runs and actually do it, just seems everything gets in the way of it!
BB: Cut the meatballs into segments and then have them with a salad. Or cut them in half and make a meatball burger. Now ive run out of ideas haha, and rubbish ideas at that.0 -
BB - Given that most meatballs are beef (i squeeze mine out of sausages so mine are pork!) you could slice and layer them and treat them like mince, that is making lasagne, sheperds pie etc? Dont forget you can layer veg instead of pasta for a diet friendly non pasta lasagne (i dont do that tho...).
As quite a naughty dinner you could layer sliced potatoes, onion and sliced/halved meatballs with a bit of seasoned white sauce and repeat. Alternatively a bit like vix, treat them as a burger with salad and maybe a nice ciabatta or some healthy wedges. Other ideas? Um meatballs, mash and beans? Thinking replacement of sausages. OOOOOOOOH! On a tray with chunky cut veg for roasting and chucked in the oven to all cook together?
Hope that gives some ideas0 -
Hello again, been missing in action - been really yeuch this week and ended up taking time off work and lying in bed. Cold symptoms, broken glass throat, dizzy, shakey and the occasional queasiness. Not good at all. I think I'm just really run down at the moment. Feeling human again today but still can't smell anything. Sorry I haven't weighed in this week (didn't even know what day Wednesday was to be honest)
Congratulations on getting your son back and the alien body snatcher vacating your house Victory. I'm so glad life has got back to normal for you - hope you all have a great weekend.
I've read back and LOL at all the life begins at ??? posts. I didn't meet OH till my mid 30s when we were both mature students, we still haven't got married, we're still trying to move into a house and still haven't given up on a baby (even though my biological clock is ticking rather deafeningly). I've came to the conclusion that life can pass you by, it doesn't matter what age you are unless you do something about it. In fact that's a good question...
How old is too old to have a baby?0 -

Haven't read a novel in 2 yrs since it got worse. Thanks.
Yes of course no probs, I tend to write fast, brain to paper:rotfl: will correct it;)0 -

Just popped in for a quick catchup and saw this BB from a totally Irish perspective, why not cook them with onions and gravy and serve with mashed potato or champ and veggies??? just a thought.0 -
Thanks Victory - been meaning to ask for ages but realised after 3 yrs on here you're practically family lol, and you wouldn't mind me asking.
Great ideas Vix and dmv - thanks! Favouring the sliced for burgers in bun treat or with roast veffies. brillliant.
Pepop - sorry to hear you've been so rough. Hope you slowly pick up. Being run down does makethese things impact more severely. Do you know why you are run down?
As for when is too old to have a baby, does tend to depend on your ovaries:), so slightly different for everytone. Otherwise I have a number of friends who had their 1st babies at 40/1/2 and loving it.
Didn't meet their partners/husbands til late 30's is usually the reason.
Totally agree with the 'life can pass you by at any age and you have to mae it happen'.
I love lois's example of them taking a gap year at 50+I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Morning all
On one of those funny 12-8 shifts today so meals are at funny times. I'm actually getting into the little and often theme, having 4 meals and a snack and managing to stay within my allowed calories so let's hope it's doing some good to the metabolism too.
I had weetabix first thing, then we're having fish and salad at 11.30, a sandwich at 4 o'clock and chicken curry and rice when we finish.
PepPop - I think people should have babies before they are 40 as the risk of problems increases after that, and 45 is definitely the absolute limit IMO. Even at that age, by the time the child leaves school the mum will be in her 60's when people should be thinking about themselves, their health and their grandchildren and not having to worry about putting a child through uni or coping with teenage angst.
I think I'm still fertile - I'm still ovulating - but the idea of having a baby at my age fills me with absolute horror!
Have a good weekend everyone - think of me working in this lovely sunshine!

module No 5 100% heavily overshadowed by am immediate telling off...... boss says he can't understand how I managed to get 100% when I have no common sense, the work colleagues have complained about me from day 1 apparently:eek:
points brought up
1. I don't complete a job
2. Don't complete and ask someone to check it.
3.Don't ask enough questions.
4. Don't communicate properly.
5. Everyone has to do the job properly that I have been asked to do.
6. He used to defend me being new and not knowing how to do things but now feels I am not new, have an age where I should know what to do, it is not coming across I know what to do and therefore should this continue will be sacked.
Oh and well done 100% but not a clue how you managed it, you are either cocky beyond belief or quietly confident in your answers, which is to be? I opted for the second one:D
Quite unfair really, this is all about 1/3rd off the baby food, did on the calculator, got it checked, queried it wrote the reduction prices and it was wrong, all colleagues as well as my so called friendly one that I love working in, pointed at me. had to change all the stock. told boss, everyone said it was me and that I never checked, boss very unhappy and keeps shaking head at me that I am not suited to shop work if I am not prepared to listen, communicate ,finish a job and work:D0 -
