    Hi all

I'm back up in sunny Scotland again after spending 2 days down South with our elderly Mums. We took my Mum shopping for an outfit for the wedding, she got everything she needed including shoes, fascinator and clutch bag and she was really pleased. OH's Mum is giving us some concern as she seems very confused and vague about things. She isn't going to the wedding even though we've tried to talk her into it - the only reason she'll give is that she has to use a walking stick. I suppose she's self conscious about not being able to walk fast anymore. I presume the vagueness is senility setting in, although she has had several mini-strokes which have probably taken their toll, she may even have had another one.

Fredsnail - thanks, as always, for the chart. :)

Eric - what a great result in the circumstances, well done :T

Victory - a victory! :D I'm pleased he's seen the light. (Don't let him put his washing in the dishwasher though!)

Vix - I don't feel like I've missed out at all by having children young, in fact I'm glad I did because if I'd left it until later I'd still have had all the worries and responsibilities in my 40's instead of being able to have fun. At 23 the whole clubbing thing probably seems very important, but having a good social life with lots of friends is much better, and you can have meaningful conversations over a dinner table - try doing that in a club! OH and I did our courting at the disco (as we called it in the 70's) and we still like to get on down to banging tracks whenever we get the chance. :p And, you're never too old to decide to do something different - we had our 'gap year' and went travelling just last year, and OH is 57!

Fellpony - all the best for your little one, here's hoping that it's all plain sailing from now on.

    Catch you later

Hope your head is better after you cut it last weekend ?
It is much better - my boss let me work from home on Monday so Mum could keep an eye on me but mostly back to normal now thanks :j

I know it's late but I lost one lb this week so am quietly happy. It's been a mad busy week where nothing seems to have been achieved. (Sorry it's late Fredsnail)

No problem with being late - I've added it into the chart so it'll be right for next week. Good luck for tomorrow I hope all goes well.

Vix - was it you running the 5k?

Victory - I'm really glad that a truce has come now. Let's hope things remain calm for you.

Beanie - take it easy - have you got one of those wheat bags that you microwave? sometimes they help a bit. I hope your back eases soon.

Yes fred! Although when you say running, its more like walking/jogging!

Lois: I dont like the clubs as much as i used to what so ever. Its just not the same, but i love to dance, i love to socialise in the pub and then woosh, im in the club im normaly intoxicated and im off in my own little world that no one can enter! ha. I litterally do do that, i dance like there isnt anyone else in the club just grooving away. I think because ive had older parents i naturaly want to follow a similar path. My parents are the most unselfish people i know, and i think part of that is because they did what they needed to do before they had children. I think anyone having kids before the age of me now is loosing out. As much as i really want a baby, i dont wanna give my life to another for the next 20 odd years from now. Im sure when i have my house, and a husband i shall feel very differently.

Morning:D isn't is just lovely to be able to open the doors and get the morning fresh air in?:D Beautiful weather and calm in the house it is like winning the lottery:D

I have got my 50 questions and answers next week, 1 min per question:eek: I said to the boss I will fail, he didn't take too kindly to that because it is a reflection on his teaching skills if I do, what teaching skills, he never has the time to talk to me during a shift let alone teach me anything:rotfl:50 questions:eek:

Sorry I've been missing in action guys. Life seems to take over so much these days. I've been out & about sorting out practical things, birthdays, kids, OH, house, etc. I'm making the most of the nice weather and gardening lots too.

Today is my new Day 1. I am totally fed up with myself physically - again. I'm right back where I was a year & a half ago. The summer clothes I bought myself last year do not fit. I feel uncomfortable, and demoralised with myself. So, rather than feel fed up, I'm going to set about tackling it all again, and aim to feel better and happier.

i have the complete opposite all my clothes are too big--i am 2 extra holes on my belts now--i am too mean to buy new clothes until i either stop loosing or settle down so for now it is just the baggy look--all my old clothes from when i was last this weight were binned so there is no fall back-apparently i was having a bad day when i met my parents in law--i had driven 2 hours in turkish bank holiday traffic so maybe i was genuinely drawn from that--i seem to look ok in their eyes now--but they say no more loss! but i am fixed on 5 kgs more!i will win lol
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.

sary - I know how you feel and well done you for facing it all and being decisive. My head is in a funny place at the moment too & I'm finding it difficult to focus. I am a stone lighter than I was last summer so my clothes actually fit me this year (as opposed to being too small :D) but today I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt that throw my muffin top into sharp relief!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and that's after having changed twice before I left the house this morning!! I know I know I know I need to get back on track, its just my life seems to get in the way at the moment. I also know know know that I'm only making excuses, but I have my last OU essay to write this weeknd then I'm into 3 weeks of revision before my exam, at the end of which 'm off on a spa weekend with my best mate so I need to get trimmer to look good while I'm lazing around the pool doing nothing!!

victory - shame on you for being so negative over your 50-question test. Of course you will pass, haven't you already proved to yourself that you are good? :p In time you will have your boss's job when he gets the elbow for being so crap at it :D
