My friends are going to go travelling next year, and i'd love to go with them for even a month or two but i couldnt leave matt behind because that would be really a seperate thing to do and everyone would think im the worst girlfriend ever for going off and doing it.
Ok i went a bit off track there! I like your idea of looking at your life every 6 months bb its a good idea, but i wouldnt know how to make changes if i didnt like it, my changes would be too great, complicated and messy.
I don't think people would think you were the worst girlfriend ever - most of them would be dead jealous of you!
As long as you are happy to go and Matt is happy for you to go, what the rest of the people think is totally unimportant! Are you going to miss what could be one of the best experiences of your life because of what other people may or may not think? Go and have a good time!
Marion:) (who took off for a 6 month tour of Canada and the States 2 years after I got married! My mother in law was horrified but my husband was fine with it - even to the point where he was fed-ex'ing me money! Mmm - I wonder if he was paying me to stay away:rotfl: We have now been happily married for 39 years and I still go on holiday with friends and my kids and leave him at home. He is just not the travelling kind of guy but doesn't think that I should stay at home because thats what he prefers. When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

I was ambushed by a tub of Ben & Jerry's cookie dough ice cream last night.
Now that is totally understandable. I cannot resist B&J ice cream. Ever!! I think B&J has some sort of spy system whereby they watch you get bored/frustrated/etc and then a tub magically appears in your freezer. It's an addiction Hezza and we all have to deal with it in our own way (usually by eating all the evidence!!)

Hey vix, my OH and I are around your age and we have been having a similar kind of conversation as a few of our friends have been going travelling and it looks fun, but we dont want to leave the other behind.
so we've decided to go together. could you and matt maybe go together? Or if you went with your friends he could come and join you for two weeks or whatever he can get off work?
I feel exactly the same as you- already worrying about houses, babies, etc. But there'e plenty of time for that and I think the next few yrs should be about just having fun. Last night I was saying that I was worried I wouldn't have time to do all the fun things I wanna do before settling down - ideally I want a house by 28 - but then OH reminded me it's 4 years off still and that's loads of time!!! I think we are just wired to think that way as a result of our womanly brains!!
Well I have had a terrible week for food, plus only got the the gym onceI'm getting really annoyed with things coming up after work - drinks, shopping, dinner, etc - meaning that I have to cancel my gym classes nearly every day! Plus we always end up eating junk when we're out so then it's twice as bad. For example, tonight I was going to hit the gym but now i'm going shopping to spend ££ i dont have and then for a meal at a chain italian restaurant that will end up in cheesy pizza or creamy pasta (even the salad has cheese/cream on usually!!).
so as a reuslt of doing this every day for a week I am +1lb
Well done all the losers, some amazing reuslts this week! Am going to do better this week! am going to buy some summery dresses tonight and make myself realise how good I could look without that big layer of flab around my waist!!
Had scrambled egg on half a muffin for brekkie, haivng a pub lunch with work (no wonder i'm putting on weight) but am going to try to resist chips and just have a sandwich.Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -
well done to all the losses!! really high this week!
well, im reporitng a STS this week, gutted as i follwoed plan to the t. im going to try and find out why things are slowing down and how i can try and correct it. i usually have my 2 HEB as toast, maybe i should only have one bread HEB and try something else.....
good luck everyone.
i have loads of high stress exams coming up, which means as lectures have finished i been no-where doing the same amount of walking (to and from uni). im also hoping the stress doent make me crave the sugary stuff.

we did tell you to aim to loose 0.50-1.00 kg per week max
instead of starving yourself on half the calories you need and doing 4 times the gym work as you have been doing
there was always going to be some payback for loosing weight so fast when you had so little to loose
If it was me, I would aim to loose the last 5kg over the next 10 weeks then settle into a sensible gym regime of 3 1 hour sessions a week, your face will come back then over time
my goal well it was my goal until i got sick was to get to the stage of eating 4000-4500 cals a day and to remain STS with 3 weight training sessions a week0 -

Felt totally gutted. Stuck rigidly to the WW points and all I lost on my first week was 1-1/2 lbs. On steroids just now so she said that may have something to do with it. I know it's better than nothing but I had hoped for a bit more. Well done to everyone on their losses this week.If I had known then what I know now . . .
