Great loss Bb
MRI was ok, very noisy & it was rather difficult to stay still after a while.
Was a bit stiff when it was finished!

STS for me please Fred.
Gotta post & run, but will catch up on the thread tomorrow. Hope things improve for you Eric, and in the meantime stick with us here and we'll be happy to commiserate and encourage you as usual. You still managed a loss this week, it's better than a lot of us manage, so try to stay positive. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Still don't know who that man is Vix -- never watched Eastenders or the celebrity programmes. But now I know that that's who he is I don't mind not knowing - IYSWIM.
Now if it was one of the Time Team .... such a relief that it's back on TV as I'd seen so many repeats I almsot knew them off by heart.
Another pound BB? It must be something to do with all that individuating.
Eric - whatever happens tomorrow - stay with us. You'll get there in the end and so will I, but not yet.0 -
My son, the eldest, my lovely 16 year old beautiful first born left home this evening after a row, he is selfish and self centered and it is always about him, what we have to give him, what he is owed, what he can get from us, how he has to keep up with his teenage friends, they have it all and he has nothing, we as parents had enough and withdrew all that we do for him as he constantly tells me I do nothing for him, get him nothing, buy him nothing and everyone else has got the lot, as he left sobbing, I could actually feel my heart inside my chest breaking, just disintegrating, practically unable to breath, I watched as he got on his bicycle and rode off, shaking and feeling my legs beneath me giving way, sary I can now honestly empathize with what happened to you, I would not wish it on my worst enemy, my body shook so much I thought it was going to give up on me, this pain is searing.0

Here is this weeks chart:
Congratulations to our joint SoTW De1amo and rosieposie2000
Well done to everyone who lost or STS - it is an achievement as we all know how hard it is to lose any weight.
Commiserations to the gainers - don't give up, tomorrow is day 1 again.
Victory I'm sorry to hear about your row - your son will come back once he's calmed down I hope.
Eric - very good luck tomorrow - you've made such a positive contribution to this thread since you joined I hope that you will stay with us whatever happens tomorrow.0 -
i thank gawd i cant argue with my teenage step daughter-i dont speak turkish and her command of English wouldnt allow it--im 47 and never had any children and ive grown into a grumpy old man!!!-i teach kids but when its your own it completely different--she is the only child of my wife --my wife is an only child and it is another world --i am one of 4 children and we shared and didnt 'spit the dummy' over minor things!--my daughter asks me for things like junk food fully expecting me to say yes to everything and is mortified when i say NO-she sulks to her mum and they go behind my back--the worm will turn one day when something vital is needed like university fees for some far off uni and i will simply say NO and mean NO--i did my degree in my own city while İ worked!
My wife doesnt seem to see training my daughters dietry consumption as important because she is thin--i say its ok to eat lots of the RİGHT food not burger kings!--i was brought up eating healthily and my weight gain happened because i had depression and was a man left to cook for himself!--i lived off 3 repetitive meals for 3 years- spag bol, baked fish in breadcrumbs and tuna bake with loads of pasta--all massive portions! i went from 70kgs to 81kgs over a period of 3 years and only gained 2kgs in the ensuing 4 years of marriage -my aim is to get back to that 70kgs to disprove my own misconception that all grumpy old men are fat!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Reporting a 2 pound loss
Went to gym Sat and last night - trying to learn how to deadlift properly.
Well done to all losers and STS'ers, wishing a better week next week to gainers :-)
Eric - sorry to hear of your medical issues, I hope the way ahead becomes clearer after seeing the specialist tomorrow. What is your standard calorie intake, is it worth reducing it by 200 to make up for the inability to exercise?
reduced it by 750 to compensate for the lack of exercise, but with out exercise the metabolism just shuts down ...
but it wont compensate for the rapid loss of tone and condition, all the f**king months of hard-work and constant pain !!!!ed down the drain to get into reasonable shape grrr :mad:0 -
my sister keeps fit and energized by walking her dog--and i am living on about 1000 calories a day and feel happier and more energized than ever-mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

Morning
Victory - I feel for you and know what you're going through. At 15 and 16 my son was a monster and really put us through it, but by the time he was 18 we were wondering if he was the same person or if the aliens had taken the monster and replaced him with a human being! Stay strong and keep your chin up, he'll be back when he realises what he's missing.
Eric - don't know what to say really, but sending lots of positive vibes and support your way. Good luck with the doctor today.
Well done De1amo and Rosieposie for SOTW :T
Day One went well yesterday - I signed up for FoodFocus and registered the calories of everything I'd eaten and had a few left over so I was happy with that. Back to work today, but a 'normal' shift so meals at the proper times. Tomorrow it's 12-8pm, with an hour tea break at 4pm, so it would be easy to end up having 4 meals, but I'm going to try having fruit first thing, brunch at 11ish, porridge at tea time, and then a proper meal later on.
Have a good day.

Wow - some great losses this week, well done everyone :T
victory - dont know what to say,I hope your son comes around and realises what a great mum you are, that his life wont be any easier away from home (in fact its bloody hard) and that he should appreciate what he has.. It's such a shame that kids are under such pressure to acquire *stuff* rather than enjoy life as it is. I suppose its always been that way, its only the nature of the *stuff* that changes. It wont bring him back but have you tried looking on any of the internet parents forums? Their discussion boards are usually full of like-minded people with similar problems, like I say it wont bring him back but it might help you to realise that (a) all kids are the same and (b) you are not alone. We're here for you anyway to provide a cyber-shoulder to cry on.
eric-meister - not much to add to what's already been said except stay strong, appreciate what you have achieved so far, and come back to us when you are ready. We would miss your wise words and font of wisdom. :DGood luck today - sending positive vibes to you.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
