My OH is coming home today so feeling a little happier. I miss having him around and he is my diet controller ( He tells me off when I don't eat enough and stops me when I want to eat rubbish).

Did anyone see supersize v superskinny where they sent the girl a message from a very obese woman from USA? She said 'the voice that tells you to eat rubbish, is an evil worse than death that is out to kill you' very apt, 2 months later she died.

allis do you not sometimes resent your OH even though as we know he is trying to help you?

No not at all he is a great diet tool :D He is also a good cook as we share the cooking etc..... and he is very good with a peeler to peel my carrots :rotfl:

The only thing I resent him for is the fact that even though he is not trying he has lost 9lb in the last 35 days as he is eating the same meals as me

    Hi all!
I see we have a new thread lol.
Im still riding my bike every day so doing a lot of cycling. Havent been weighed yet though so not sure if Im still losing. My job means Im around little old ladies who want to feed me biscuits and things  so I am eating more of those than I would like. :(
Struggling a bit with meals since my schedule is all over the place so no set dinner time and just keep grabbing things that are simple but not good! Need to get back onto this as I would hate to put weight back on. Will see if I can get to the doctors to be weighed next week.

I've taken the plunge, as I feel I need a kick-start, and have found a cheap copy of the Harcombe book. £2.73 seemed like a bargain. I think I have become so carb laden that it'll do me some good to have a structure to follow. Have already bought some decaf tea in preparation, as my cuppa is what I'm going to miss most.

Any top tips to offer me for Phase 1, or ideas for meals? I'm going to start it after this w/end as it's another son's birthday. I think I'll start Sunday, and will have done day 5 before a scheduled meal out next Friday, but that should be OK, as we've opted for Indian, and I can have chicken and salad.

Have been baking all day today, and would be happy not to see another chocolate cake ever again. The smell just gets to me being around it all day.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

I have ordered the books as well but not committed myself to going on it yet, I wonder how much different from slimming world it is? I love SW but I find my weight loss is just so slow!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • Thanks kpc:D

LOL, harcombe is breaking out everywhere. Good luck sary, and everyone trying it. Sometimes a fresh new approach is what we need to re-engage ourselves with what and how we eat. I look forward to hearing of your progress & sucess.
Dinah - how are you doing with phase two?

Janie - welcome, and congrats on managing to stop smoking:T.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
