Wow
Im dead
This weekend is the start of my next phase, as hopefully i have now built up my cardio and strength to a level that can now move on, proper interval training on my cardio and proper weight training ie 3 sets on the same element and no more rotation to remove any cardio effect
Just done my first interval training and damn... not easy especially with a sore throat, hot flushes and a mild temperature :rotfl:
I will say my level of fitness now is epic for my weight and where it was 3 months ago. Im still carrying a 70kg+ weight of blubba on me ... and ive not dropped dead so hopefully i should be ok to carry on like this.

To all newbies.
Go EricTry not to kill yourself and remember to breathe
Still not doing to badly with my kick up the backside this week. I'm still watching what I'm eating and back to the gym this weekend. I seem to be getting really stressed just now (don't know why) and I'm trying not to let it sabotage me.0 -

Excellent! OH and I are actually sitting in McDonalds as we speak - drinking black coffee, using their free wifi but definitely not eating anything, or planning to, now! lol :rotfl:

I think I have become so carb laden that it'll do me some good to have a structure to follow. Have already bought some decaf tea in preparation, as my cuppa is what I'm going to miss most.
Any top tips to offer me for Phase 1, or ideas for meals? I'm going to start it after this w/end as it's another son's birthday. I think I'll start Sunday, and will have done day 5 before a scheduled meal out next Friday, but that should be OK, as we've opted for Indian, and I can have chicken and salad.
Have been baking all day today, and would be happy not to see another chocolate cake ever again. The smell just gets to me being around it all day.
Okay Sary good for you - you'll find Harcombe a little complicated to get your head around at first but then I struggled with SW so who knows!! I'm willing to bet that just a change of routine will make a big difference to you, and you will soon get used to the taste of decaf tea - I get Waitrose own label which tastes just fine to me (with skimmed milk). Carbs are not completely excluded from Harcombe, just the "bad" kind i.e. the ones you get from processed food, and you just have to watch that you don't eat them in the same meal as fats. Good luck!!

C4 did a program about 10 years ago and they tested 300 burgers from them and found traces of cattle poo in every one :eek:0 -
Not going home this weekend but in a funny way looking forward to it as there is a very pleasant 4 mail run down here that I can go and do, and might get out to the sea front on Sunday to take some photos.0

Eric that's great stuff about your training but please don't push yourself too much if you're feeling a bit under the weather. I know you'll be sensible, won't you?! Just looking out for you
.
Good luck Sary with the new approach, it definitely seems to be working for a few peeps on here at the moment, well done to everyone sticking with it and seeing results!
Welcome all the new joiners!
Welcome home Lois! I trust your trip was all you hoped it would be? How long were you actually away for, it seemed like a fair bit more than a year?
I gave myself a mini-challenge Mon-Fri this week while my son was away, of averaging 20,000 running and/or walking steps per day (but only counting walks/runs of 2,000 steps or more). I made it to 101,076 in total!Just ordered a new pedometer too.
Average intake around 1,800 calories per day at the moment and I've been a lot better with the quality of my food this week (a few too many sweet treats had been creeping in). TOTM due so not even going to guess what my weight's doing but I think I'm just about hanging in there.
Have a great weekend everyone!0
