I love my aprons, 'had' to get DS2 a set the other day as he's too short for an adult aprons, and too stocky for most kids ones... So we got a set in Dunelm in a gingerbread man pattern with matching tea towel and chef's hat!

I want a new pvc one for washing up. My mum's tip is to wear a pvc apron with a cotton one over the top to catch the water splashes.
  • I wear by boyf's Grans Apron, not because i'm messy you understand but DS is a very excitable stirrer of things (he's 2) and we get covered in flour etc
I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar :)

    Anyone get one for Christmas?
  • I didn't get one for Christmas but I bought my husband a nice pvc apron for christmas he wears it all the time for cooking and cleaning.
  • I always wear a apron for cooking and washing-up, also wear a tabard for bathroom cleaning (not the most manly of look's, put those thing do keep you clean) thats the good thing about aprons/tabards thay save your clothes & time ;-)
  • I wear one for cooking & cleaning when I remember (doesn't half save a lot of washing) and also for some of my messier craft activities like dyeing & preparing fibre for spinning, but I also make them for sale, in a variety of fabrics & styles, and sell they certainly do, so I know I'm not alone!

  • My mother in law still wears them, she got 2 new ones for christmas... the only time she removes it is if shes leaving the house. Since my front is always covered either from washing up or from flour (baking) im thinking its prob not a bad idea :D

  • I have half a dozen pinnys which I inherited from my grandmother which I love to wear. I don't wear rubber gloves but really should! I'd quite like some aprons or a tabard or two but I've never seen any I like!

I do have some oilcloth at my parents so I may see what I can knock up :)

  • My mum got me a Cath Kidston apron for Christmas. I love it. After it spent the first month hanging on a hook in my kitchen 'to keep it clean' *rolls eyes* I wear it all the time to cook and bath the kids. I used to change into an old shirt as soon as I got home and now I don't bother!
