Is it just me or does summer mean a reluctance to get aproned as it's just too hot. I have to wear one in work but am less likely to at home.0

I purchased my first apron yesterday at the grand age of 36
I have wanted one for so long but as I can't sow I needed it to be a bargain price and obviously cute as a button lol
I was in target yesterday and I found a lovely 1950 housewife style one which I absolutely adore and just had to buy it.
I batch cook for one day at a time fortnightly and also try to cook from scratch the rest of the time and I am forever getting sauce and things over my clothes, so I see this as a great investment
happy baking!

Andy,
Have you had your birthday yet, if so did your partner get you a new apron and what is it like.
Linda,
Yes I have had my birthday now and my partner did indeed get me a new apron amongst other things.
The apron is a pvc apron from Harrods with the store facade on it, I always wear it for cooking and cleaning but I have kept my old one for decorating and things like that.0 -
I bought an apron with the understanding I'd use it to wipe my hands on rather than the tea towel hanging temptingly just within arm's reach. So far, I've not really used it though. I must train myself!

Yes! I have one like this with all of the backwards cats: http://www.ulsterweavers.com/images/products/main_600CAW.jpg
But mine is cotton - I think the one in that picture is PVC.
I wear it for baking and, when I remember, for cleaning as I don't like getting water full of cleaning products and dirt splashed on me.GC: December: £145?/£120; January: £125.70/£120; February: £163.22/£120; March £113.94/£120; April £DOOM; May £Gave up; June £DOOM; July £160.78/£108; August £7.65/£200

Yes, I was wearing an apron with my name on it today, whilst doing a BBQ. Didn't want to get charcoal or grease on my new white denim shortskeep smiling,

Sounds like a nice apron, good idea keeping your old one for really messy tasks.0
